The word is "you're", Gilligan. You're inventing scenarios based on false premises.

GFY. I will continue to point out the flaws in your theory.

People said the same stuff about dems a few years back. They're politicians and can quickly change their lies to adapt

The point is, republicans need to make up alot of ground with women and races other than white people. Hell I think Hillary would kill any GOP politician they could put up, because watch for the next 4 years, republicans in congress and state lawmakers will continue to back themselves into a corner by painting themselves as anti woman, anti minority, and anti Obama no matter what his policies are. They have turned this into a pissing contest because they fucking hate Obama. It's pretty transparent when Gengrich and Rubio say shit like any Obama bill will be dead on arrival, or that congress will pass nothing Obama puts forward. Really? Not even gonna read the fucker?

Umm, I posted a theory to counter LaSalle's.

Unless you know the future, my theory can very well stand. I mean, you gave us the spill on theories. Don't go contradicting yourself again. You will get shredded.

The numbers are there to logically conclude Democrat support has weakened as by voter turnout.

Nice grammar police. Is that all you have left grandpa?
Then do it. You have no evidence to counter my position on a weakened Democrat base. Voter turnout is enough to support my theory.

Bring some value to this discussion.

2 million votes isn't a lot of ground LaSalle. That is all I am saying.

Its not like 2008 when it was a landslide. Over 10 million vote difference.

It could even be said that we closed the gap even with all the negative factors you pointed out....

Did he really? That seems hard to believe when you consider demographic changes and record voter turnout for Obama.

I think the GOP needs a serious makeover. All they would have to do is quit being social nazi's and they would never lose.

The crazy thing is I actually liked Mitt Romney until he ran and completely changed from moderate pragmatist to insane fringe lunatic.

    This.

There are demographics at play that will never change. Poor and minorities will vote for Democrats. Wealthy and whites will vote for Republicans. The different is nominating a candidate that will get the vote out. George Bush did a fantastic job of getting the vote out. Gore did a good job, but not nearly as good as Clinton. Kerry did a poor job and was about as charismatic as a piece of lint. As a result, people stayed home and Bush was re-elected. McCain was the best GOP candidate in my lifetime until he tooke Palin as his running mate and Obama energized hundreds of thousands of people. In his re-election campaign, he re-energized hos base again despite poor economic numbers and beat John Kerry's whiter, more dull cousin.

If your candidate doesn't have charisma, you're going to lose. You must first get your base out to vote in large numbers. Then worry about attracting people from the other side.

If the Democrats put up another John Kerry or Al Gore, guess what? They're going to lose...
