Didn't know that. (I just remember it being reported that Miles did/does) But playing a little "Devil's advocate" here....Say Saban paid top dollar for assistants while at LSU, then why did he seem to be replacing assistants every year? Miles lost Dunbar to the NFL, so it's hard to count that. It's not a lateral move. ...and it's yet to be seen whether or not Miles loses Jimbo this season.
cuz saban is a hardass and grates on your soul with crazy demands from no media interviews to insanely long hours. But he gets results and is an excellent coach. Remember when he left MSU he sent a private charter and told any and all assistants to load up if they wanted to join the LSU parade. The plane returned with no one onboard. nick wins because he is a good teacher regardless the assistants but this is a new go-round and will prove more difficult than the first ride. LSU/Bama was nothing like a rival...til now. Two hated emotional games every year is gonna be bad enough. Not to mention UT who hate them almost as much as AU. gonna be a tough gig to be really successful considering the current landscape. gonna be a fun ride either way. LSU now has its own instant rivalry. i love it.
