What isn't cut-throat about it? Just curious.

To me, the players haven't executed well enough for us to have a killer instinct. When your QB throws interceptions & your receivers don't catch balls, why risk giving the other team an advantage if you are winning the game? I believe that neither Miles or Jimbo would hold back this offense if they believed the players could continue to go out there & execute... Unfortunately, that's a belief that would be hard to maintain the way our players have been performing.

Can't give you any more rep points because of the forum settings. You are dead on. What I cannot figure out is that the players, though a lot with athleticism, seems to lack concentration from time to time and not play together as a cohesive offensive unit. It would be great if they finally sync up, like the stars lining up for the 2003 team at the end of the season. Maybe Miles should start to yell at them and really fire them up to notch up their game. I do not believe they are average players.

I actually think it's the exact opposite. Reggie Bush the running back is averaging 8.6 yards per carry, that's unreal. His receiving talents are amazing as well.

But, he is NOT a great returner, especially this year. He has returned 22 kickoffs for an average of 17.2 per return, and his longest is 30 yards. That's FAR below average for return stats. As for as punt returns go, he has 17 returns for an average of 10.5 yards per return, with 1 TD. It's better than the kick returns, but for punt returns, that's barely above average if that.

I just personally think he's overrated on special teams. On offense, it's totally different, he's a freak.

I do think that Les Miles takes to much heat for receivers dropping passes. Now I realize that he needs to jump on them once in while, but he can't go out and catch the ball. Although he could probably do a better job then Bowe. I have never seen a team with this much talent have no killer instinct, that's the coaches fault. Sometimes they just look like they are happy to be there and then figure they will win b/c who they are!!:helmet:

You can't come out and be jacked up for 11 games. We took care of business vs Ole Miss and then came out and coasted a little against ark. Look for our team to be ready to play against UGA and come out hitting on all cylinders.

I agree that we can't be jacked up for all 11 games, but Bowe and others have go to catch the ball more consistantly. I do think that we looked passed arkansas and that is why the game was as close as it was. We will be ready for Georgia!!

I agree that it is difficult to be "jacked" for all games. I can see looking past App St or NTSU, but I find it difficult to believe that the Tigers were looking past the Hogs. They had to beat them for the opportunity to play UGA. I would say if anything, the Tigers were guilty of underestimating the Hogs.
