The other two incidents were during the offseason. I assume you are referring to suspending Perriloux for this game. Also, for the other incident last spring, he was suspended indefinitely at that time.

I'm not attacking Coach Miles, i think he made the right decision. Meyer on the other hand did not. It hurts the game of football. It sucks that football has become all about winning rather than the shaping and influencing of young men into functioning members of society.

Anybody who gets knocked around by Jim Everett after being explicitly told not to call him Chris is going to be less respectable than most media entertainers in my book. I cannot stand Rome and that clip is funny as hell to me. But, having said that, it was good that he gave Miles the credit he did, even though it was credit that everybody should give to Les. It was a tough descision but he clearly doesnt want LSU to become another 80's and 90's Florida State and Miami so he made the difficult decisions regarding three young players (one of whom recieves a fair amount of PT) in order to help his own and LSU's image and I love it. Good Job Les :milesmic: !

I hate to burst your bubble, but football has been about winning for sometime now.

I see your point, but I don't agree with it. I think it is a misconception that a college football coach is responsible for "molding young men's minds." I think this is a parent's job.

It's his responsibility to see to it that they are getting their education because of the low % of college football players to make it into the NFL.

He actually said that he hates commending people for doing the "right thing" but he had to about Miles because of his comments earlier where he thought Miles would let them play. After all the bad rep from this Miles shows he is Mr. Nadimus Maximus once again.

Thats all true KATT, but I trust that CLM knows full well what he,s doing. Quite frankly, some of this might be a bit of a "play" for the Bama game, or at least may make them game plan a certain way. Bit of chess going on with this I think. Matt will be fine, mainly because I think we,re gonna see a lot of "Run" in this game. Just my take...BTW, I like Romey...he,s funny as hell.
