He stayed up nights wondering if there really was a Dog. it is convenient that you add a tribe to Israel to try to make a dubious connection with 13 American colonies. That you have now dropped. That is funny. just isnt worth pointing out all the coincidences,when there are bigerfish to fry...However 12 tribes and one tribe splitting the blessing into 2 seperate names is 13 not 12. If the ten lost tribes were just assimilated into Assyrian culture has you claim and are gone ,then they can recieve no blessing from God,which makes moot genesis chapters 48 and 49 where it is decided upon what tribe gets what. Also,what nations other than the United States and Great Britain could claim to be the single great nation and the company of nations spoken of in these chapters of the Bible. Are the greatest nations the earth has ever had not mentioned at all in the bible?I doubt it.We are there ...we just don't see it.
Chit happens. The disciples didn't expect Jesus to get executed, either. He was the superhero Son-O-God, healer of cripples, raiser of the dead, and magical fish multiplier. Ahem . . . they could be allegorical. Look, the bible speaks of great nations--granted. The United States is a great nation--granted. It's that leap of imagination between them that is the problem. We were not around to write about. The old testament is a history of the Hebrew people. The new testament is a history of the genesis of a new religion. It's not a Nostradamus thing.
