Huge huge mistake on Miles' part if there is no suspension. Hill has somehow found trouble twice now. Even if it's the weak Urban Meyer OOC type suspension. It simply won't look good for LSU's program that Hill escape untouched.
I think one thing that people are overlooking is that Hill's 1st transgression occurred BEFORE he was at LSU. Therefore his only transgression as a Tiger was an ill advised cheap shot. Can or should Miles/LSU discipline Hill for anything that happened before he was in school?
Its body of work bro, had it not been for that "transgression" he would have been a Tiger a year earlier. People, adults, teens, old farts like red, need to understand that some of the shyt you do in life will stick to you. Just because it "happened" when he was in high school doesn't mean it didn't "happen". I get what you are saying, and believe me, I'm more on JH's side here than most because I truly believe he got Mike Tyson'd. End of the day it is 2 words that I learned during my military career and it has kept me alive more than once. "Situational Awareness" You gotta be on top of that and if you aren't there are plenty of opportunities for "happenstance" to bite you square in the ass.
Agreed, reinstate him right before the NCAA suspends Johnny Funball........noone will even notice till he goes for 175 against Bama.
i find it interestingly disturbing our members seem to be more willing to judge the manziel situation (thread started sunday about 1025pm) than the hill situation (thread started monday about 630am). manziel has 6 pages and hill has 4.
Who says it's judgement? And believe me, Hill has gotten his share. Go back and check out the original "OMG, SHIT, Hill got arrested!!" thread that was started in April.
This is a thread dedicated to a court appearance/press conference regarding Jeremy Hill. The Manziel thread is about the story of the investigation. If you really want to compare, go back and look at the page count of the thread from when the Hill story broke. Step off your high horse for a second and look at the facts, nationally obscure running back throws a punch vs Heisman winner possibly violating major NCAA rules.
Why? Manziel has made it a point to keep himself in the headlines since day 1. Good, bad or indifferent he is a media whore.
Not really. I count at least 65 other pages on Hill's situation prior to this thread. I think everyone has already voiced their opinion on what they would have done or want to see done. I do think he got of light. Perhaps tons of more community service. From Miles comment, Hill is in terrible shape. I think a few games supension and he is back to playing shape.
