Do we think he plead guilty to not drag this thing out until August and get on with the LSU punishment?
IDK. This is JMO, but I don't know if I'd want to win like Urban Meyer and just sweep everything under the rug. Les Miles has class. That being said, I don't think it warrants more than 2 or 3 games, at the most. Entire year is way overkill. Again, JMO...
My guess is that he would do anything to avoid "violating probation" and going to jail. This was the right move as the prosecutor couldn't guarantee him not to go to jail if he lost a trial. In the end, it's a suspension but like ehusson said, no more than 3 games. That's a fair punishment.
IDK about this one. On the one hand, I do not like the fact that there was a video of his behavior after the fight and the fact he denied being involved. That shows very poor decision making skills and poor character. On the other hand, this is the First issue LSU has had with this kid as a Tiger. His previous run in with the law was while he was a high school student, not an LSU. As a first offender, with a simple battery charge, pleading guilty and ultimately accepting responsibility for his actions, what does Les Miles/LSU do? Tough one to call. I would look for a 2-4 game suspension and then have to work his way back into the lineup, based on how well Blue/Hilliard/McGee are doing.
