I am not saying the Kid is innocent, but take a second and think. What if he is?? There is a big % of false rape cases reported everyday. I just find it sad that in a innocent until proven guilt country, the media, fans, peers, etc. always convict you before the jury does. The Duke case didn't happen too long ago. Yes, he is 18 ans she is 14 so even if she agreed to giving him dome (by the way he could go to Notre Dame now and give new meaning to the term golden domer. Bad joke I know sorry) he is still in trouble. However, her agreeing or not agreeing here would be a huge difference. If he did it then he deserves everything that will come his way and if not alot of you would need to man up and admit you were wrong. I guess I just wished people would wait until it was all said and done before you bad mouthed an 18 yr old kid. Just think it was less than a yr ago people around the US were bad mouthing an 18 yr old Mettenberge (sp?) and now we look at him as our QB Saviour. Let us give the legal process its time to sort everything out before we call this kid a pedophile or whatever it is you want to call him.
So, what's the difference between a 17 year old the day before his 18th birthday and an 18 year old on his birthday? Not much, but being 18 carries much more responsibility and he should know that like Red said. Pedophilia is a disorder, this was just him going too far, for lack of a better term. People are born with sexual desires but he needed to use his brain on this one. I don't condone what he did but I just feel like the girl isn't completely innocent. He should still get the full punishment for what he did though because no girl should go through that.
Not sure what age of consent in LA is but in Texas it is 17. If he did this in Tx it would be very bad. I personally know someone who has a son 17, who for all pratical purpose had consenual sex w 15 year old, she got scared, told her parents, next thing you know kid is arrested, and now is registered sex offender and shows up on all the data bases that track that stuff. Not even close to what happened w Hill and the kids life is screwed. I think Hill is finished before he even starts, perhaps this is best for LSU they really find out what he is like now.:geaux:
And in cases like that, I really wish the laws would be adjusted to actually include common sense. Nothing like thinking that teenagers don't have consensual sex. Again, that very well may not be the case with Hill and this girl. But to be a registered sex offender for life because you had sex with your girlfriend and her parents were angry?
Since Redemtorist is a private school, I imagine they can certainly expel him if they wish. He would be the public school system's problem then.
THATS IT!!!!!!! YOU NAILED IT!!!!!! (no pun intended) This is common practice in Alabama, he just forgot where he was.
I totally agree. I know a guy here, friend of mine, who about 10 years ago, was piss drunk at 7a.m. and he decided he was going to go outside and piss, well, he hated his neighbor, so he went to piss on his neighbor's mailbox, very stupid, I know... Well, it just so happens that the school bus was driving by while he was taking a leak, the sound of the bus startled him, and he turned and fell and pretty much showed his pecker to kids on the bus inadvertently, he gets arrested, and now is a registered sex offender. I also remember reading about a couple, the guy was 17, the girl was 14, he gets charged with statutory rape, ends up marrying the girl, they stay married for something like 50 years, and he is still a sex offender.
That's what I was trying to get at with TigersTailgating. It's not always simple math by numbers. Oh snap. Good point, I forgot private schools don't have all the red tape to go through. I know of several cases like this. We get sent updated "Sex offender" lists and I often laugh because there are always some that everyone knows are "dating". Sometimes with divorced parents one parent may not approve but the boyfriend is living with the other parent (usually mom) and the daughter.
Pedophiles a bit far unless he's running around molesting pre-pubescent girls...or even worse, girls. You act as if the dude was a teacher, or a coach. He's an immature high school student. He is still a child himself. It still doesn't make it proper for him to "pressure" any girl, regardless of age, for sex, but we CAN properly classify this. With that said, barring those who waited:wave:, who among us didn't pressure our girlfriends in high school? The moment you said "I love you," knowing you didn't mean, just because you knew that was the only way she was going to remove her panties (or at least slip em to the side) was if you said you loved her....you pressured her. If you had hours of conversation trying to convince her, you pressured her. A lot of things have changed generationally, but some things still remain...like young boys endless pursuit of pusssy. The circumstances could be such that this is no different than the 22 year old college senior hunting 18 year old freshman girls...legalities aside. On the converse, the circumstances could be that he told her if she didn't give him head he'd tell everyone on Facebook that she was a slut, or she had smelly privates, or she was hiding a small dick. Who knows? The legal system will determine the level of his transgression. But it appears either way he has a future as a sex offender. He's become a predator, not a pedophile. I'd bet he didn't realize until now that being a predator can cost him everything.
Well, this explains a lot about what has transpired with him over the last month. Bhelm said his decommit had something to do with personal family matter. Time to fish and cut bait. C-Ya kid.
