Based on what, exactly? One game against the Northeast New Mexico State College at Hoople? I think it is clear that neither quarterback had the stuff last year. I think both will play until one takes the job away on the field. The nightmare scenario is that neither ever does, just like Jefferson and Lee. And look what it got us when they were freshmen! The same kind of year we had last season, an interception year that almost sunk us. I think Les learned something about overtasking young quarterbacks in 2008. We weren't consistent with the pass last year but we did not throw away games with a bunch of stupid interceptions. This year both quarterbacks should be capable of most of the playbook. You think Les and Cam want defenses keying on our All-American running back? They want to throw it this year and are just waiting for one of these guys to step up.
Harris has a big time arm. He needs game time speed to get his accuracy in line. Jennings does not have great arm strength. Its a fact. He throws ducks. Outside of that, our coaches do not game plan around either of their strengths. Jennings is good at rolling out, small scramble, short passes. Yes, he throws it deep, but he needs wide open WR's. Harris has the right velocity to hit smaller windows, Much like Mett. He just needs reps upon reps. Playbook is a different issue all together, but reps with WR's is one of the most important aspects. Think Mett 2012 vs. 2103. Dude, we actually had a passing attack. Further, neither QB was throwing pic six's last year. Huge difference. Our guys are controlled to the point that they can't make the plays to win the game. It went from one extreme to the other.
He is right. It is up to him if he can learn the play book and make the plays. Who ever is in-front or behind of him is of no baring. Can you provide some links that he is any of those things? The quotes you linked to not show that at all. I fail to see that as a bad comment. It is in-fact his fault he didn't make the plays. You want him to blame someone other than himself? You are right, he should blame the WRs...... Hint: it's called ownership. True quality of leadership. Yea. Self pride, confidence, ownership of mistakes is SOO Me First........ What sensible person concludes that saying "its up to me to improve" is a bad attitude? Harris has mentioned the same type of things. False.
The point wasn't Miles NEVER uses a tight end, its that it is a "where's Waldo" moment the past 3-4 years. Try to keep up and stop being dramatic.
Yea, when OBJ is double covered and Mett was throwin ints vs Ole Miss, just keep chunking it to Landy/OBJ in double coverage. We know how that turned out.
