Why must Harris "live up to the hype" to see meaningful playing time that will help him develop? Jennings was a 4 star recruit and he's not living up to the hype. All Harris should have to do is be better than Jennings, which he clearly is. What he isn't is CLM's kind of QB - unflashy, pedestrian but safe.

He look any better last year than he did in the bowl game the year before?

Did he? I'm sure you will say yes because it fits your argument but look at it objectively.

The answer is a resounding NO he didn't improve 1 single bit in any area of the game. Expect the same this year. Better footwork won't fix what you just can't create, he doesn't have it and you can't teach it or grow it or practice till you get it.

who the fuck needs to live up to any hype. we need a qb with a better than 50% lifetime completion percentage which means hes better than the current guy.

seen less spin on a mickelson chip.

isl pretty much nailed it. now skies opened up when harris drove us to 7 td drives in a row? no its just potential shown that AJ hasnt shown in over a year as a starter. put the guy on the field who has the ability to sustain drives. its not jennings. you know that much. its not about harris anyhow. put anyone else in and move forward.

this safe shit is tired. its les' 11th year. with 7 years of these stupid arguments because of him and him alone. we shouldnt be having this discussion again. get a fucking quarterback you asshole.

thats bullshit, Jennings preformance against Alabama was the best we had out of either guy last year, and don't quote stats because you know that only tells a part of the story. He also played pretty well in the bowl game. What's gonna happen when Harris gets put out there and he stinks the joint up. What then?

No, it's really not. I will refer you to the spring game and those big looping moon balls he threw to wide open guys. You yourself said they would be picked off and for once you are right

Right. Watching Jennings light it up in those games almost made me forget about Rohan Davey.

Who said he lit it up? I just said he was better against Alabama and Notre Dame than he or Harris were in any other game. Sorry New Mexico State doesn't count. Jennings looked like a guy we could depend on in the Bama game. Unfortunately he was really bad in just about every other game.
