Because Ohio State is looking to the future. You're a fool if you don't think Braxton Miller is one of the best qb's in the nation. I think he's the best, that's my personal opinion.
Miller is not projected to be drafted as a QB. His best bet would be to stay at Ohio State and learn to play RB or DB. Even if he goes to Alabama or anywhere else his injury won't be rehabilitaed until this summer and then he will only have a few weeks to learn a new system and try to beat out Jacob Coker. Of course Saban would welcome him to the team. What has he got to lose? If Miller somehow beats all odds and leads the Gumps to the NC its a plus. If he does nothing then nothing has been lost
Not being drafted means nothing to me. Tebow shouldn't have been drafted, nor should have Vince Young but on a college team I'd take em all day long.
Still, with the question about his health unanswered and the fact that he would have very little time to learn a new system makes his value to anybody other than Ohio State questionable. I would have loved to see a health Braxton Miller enroll at LSU in time for the spring and learn the system.
Valid points. It damn sure would have been better to have signed him a while back, and maybe the same thing holds true if Bama were to sign him. However you've watched our offense over the past few years, all he would have to do is hand the ball off and not throw the ball to the other team and Miles would love him.
