Jennings has been on the team a year longer than Harris, was the starter for a whole season except for one game and if he is dead even with Harris that should tell tell the coaches something. It does me.
I know I watched a little of the practice game today and saw the QB throw a ball to the end zone, Dupree made a great catch but the throw was one that Jennings just doesn't have in his tool box. Over 2 DB's and into the corner, Dupree had to lay out for it but he got it. I think we call that a Touchdown. Point being, yeah I get it, can't make the decision off of one throw but when it is a throw that the other guy just can't make then it clears up the water a bit.
Jennings has thrown a number of long passes. It's hitting the crossing route that he never quite got down . . . and neither did Harris.
Defend him anyway you like amigo, that pass that Harris threw to Dupree in the corner is just NOT in Jennings' bag. It never was nor will it ever be. Did you see that rainbow that Jennings threw to a WIDE open Dupree just before that? I think @LaSalleAve talked about it in a previous post, that thing is picked off 10 out 10 times in live competition. This is why I say you can't tell much from practice. The Jennings crew is all giddy because he completed a "big one". That ball should have been on a rope and would have been had the other guy threw it.
Jennings throws ducks. Harris has the closest thing to a Mett arm. They should be working more whit him to get his accuracy under raps IMO. He has the velocity to hit the zones you need to be able to hit.
QB's are usually a bit on the arrogant side. the good ones anyway. Had you read it I did talk about the pass that Harris threw, it was a thing of beauty and one that Jennings will NEVER make because he can't. I don't know how good of a judge of QB Lassale is, I do know, and I'm sure Cameron and a whole host of others know that the pass that Jennings threw is picked off in a game, any game. The pass Harris threw may not be caught every game or every time but it wouldn't be picked off because it was where ONLY the WR could catch it. So, back to the question, we may not be the greatest judge of talent but we are obviously a lot better than you are.
Uh, did Les Miles make the throws or some shit? What am I missing? Who in the hell else could be possible say made "his" throws?
