well, here we are again. Asking who is going to be the starting qb. (esp.) CMON MAN! we do this every year for the past decade with the exception of jamarcus, and mett. we will have a phenomenal team but be lacking and lose our games bc of a poor over all QB. plain and simple- case closed--- we can only hand the ball off so much--- it's not hard to beat LSU stack agains the run and make us throw- bc we suck at throwing-- at pass protection, at passing, and last year even at catching. not being a negative nancy but GMAFB same stuff different year--- why can we not recruit talented overall qbs instead of just remarkable qb athletes. i'd rather just pick an intelligent guy who could sort of throw the ball bc then at least he'd make good decisions--- the only difference in qb is prob 1-2 additional close losses. and whats sad is we have a cupcake season ( however many schools are much improved)-- be honest now
That is exactly the problem with a limited playbook capability. Both quarterbacks had trouble with the short routes, especially the crossing routes. It limited what Cameron could call. Hopefully their rookie mistakes are behind them and they can start hitting those open 3rd receivers. It's more like 1% of the time and that shit happens with rookies. There is no excuse this year . . . nor for offensive linemen who can't count to "hut 3". If one of these quarterbacks separates himself, it will likely be because something finally clicked in his situational awareness. You have to be mentally quick to play quarterback versus modern defenses. They have to go through those progressions in an instant.
Hopefully one will have a Dak Prescott type of improvement. I didn't think he was great in 2013 but was ok.
Cam Cameron says that Leonard Fournette is the most improved player this spring. Too bad its not Harris or AJ. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...-most-improved--on-lsu-offense-172428528.html Cameron also touched on LSU’s quarterback situation. Both juniorAnthony Jennings and sophomore Brandon Harris saw time as the team’s starter in 2014 with mixed results. Things are still wide open, but with another year of experience under their belts, Cameron has liked what he’s seen from those two so far. “I think maturity is always a good thing. What teaches a guy to become a more mature quarterback is game experience. Unfortunately all of those game experiences aren’t positive, but I think if guys are made of the right stuff, they’re going to respond. And our guys are,” Cameron said. “Anthony has had his best spring since he’s been here. The last two scrimmages have probably been the best that he’s played since he’s been here at any point in time, so that’s a real positive. Brandon has gone through almost like a transformation this spring. It’s just that maturation process. It’s learning from mistakes. It’s learning from things you did well. It’s chemistry with the guys. All of those things have shown themselves this spring.”
no one sober thoughts harris would be the frontrunner. except red reading the first practice report. its not happening because well it never happens.
one of these days we will use the tight end in the passing offense...the running game for LSU is great..just need a coach that would be wiiling to put more into the passing game and qbs to get the receivers the ball on time and all might be much better...if not and we stay the same predictibel offense it might be the hot seat for les
A direct quote from Cam I take it Here is your bet @red55 I bet you that same C-note that he looks exactly the same as he did the last time we saw him. Which is 10 lbs of shit in a 9lb bag
