Good question, has to be short. Red is as usual playing on the safe side with all the usual rhetoric Yet he won't take a stand. I, many others including most of the announcers and now Bradshaw can see who the better QB is. I think at this point Les will play his upper class man thing and Jennings it will be barring an injury or string of fumbles. I'd say int but if he throws one we just won't throw it again. Of what we have in the stable Harris is the guy if we have any shot at progression. Cut, dry, I'm out.
When was the last under-classman QB to leave early for LSU? 2006 8 years of 4 year QB's That's why most people don't bitch so hard about the D. They get raped by the NFL, yet, they show improvement over the season. QB just stays looking like crap. Even LF7 improved his vision, footwork and play knowledge.
Me? You made the statement that Harris will never see the field barring injury, so I bet you $100 that he would see it early. You would not take the bet and decided that Harris would get a shot after all. And now you are right back to saying that Harris will never play under Les as long as Jennings is here and a year older. OK, anybody . . . who will bet me $100 that Harris will never see the field. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Of course he will you coot, just not in any meaningful game time. Make that stipulation and you are on.
Better watch out. Harris could see "meaningful game action" against McNeese, Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky and cost you $100 unless you stipulate that the aforementioned meaningful game action must occur against a conference opponent.
No worries, Red doesn't have the balls to make that kind of bet. He is safe saying "he will play" I'm surprised the scout team isn't included.
OK Dopey, so how do we measure "meaningful", now that you concede that he is going to play. Bets only work if there are benchmarks that can be agreed on. Hey ball-less, you made the claim and I bet you $100 on it and you wouldn't take it. So make a claim that you will stick by and back it up. Something that is measurable. Or you can just admit that you don't really believe what you are saying.
See what I mean... Of course Les will trot him out there against a juco non con. He will settle on Jennings regardless of the production and we will hardly ever see Harris again. You know it's gonna happen, that is why you are scared to pull the trigger.
I agree, I don't think it's his philosophy not to have a competent QB. It's just that he's clueless as how to identify, recruit, develop and use one.
