*raises hand Can't wait til you guys are ready to write off Lee ten minutes into the game. Here's the deal, our OC is terrible and neither QB will succeed Saturday. If we win, it will be because of our running game and defense. Whoever starts at QB is inconsequential, as both are terrible, IMO.
I'm sure that's the way HE sees it... But hell, his performance wasn't as good as the previous 3 games, and they were "pretty bad", I think. I'm all for him keeping a positive attitude, but JJ is just plain delusional if he thinks he's done "pretty good" this season.
I don't understand you die hard Lee Haters. I won't be dissin on Lee in the first ten minutes! I'm confident that he will do just fine if the play calling is good. Now .. the play calling on the otherhand will be a joke. I refuse to saddle Lee with the atrocious play calling ability of eat-crowton. :geaux:
Me neither, and I refuse to do it with Jefferson either. I want Lee to succeed, but forgive me if I'm not expecting a repeat of what we saw against Tennessee when we play Florida, in the Swamp.
Did you also notice that not one single screen was completed? Swing pass worked pretty well, not as easy to throw as it looks, hence Lee was throwing it.
IMO .. the problem with having Jefferson in there is the OC keeps running that stupid option. Jefferson is NOT a prize running QB. Sure, he had the one great run on Sat, that was all good, but the majority of the time, he stalls. With Lee in, they run a more pro offense. Ridley gets the call for runs, as it should be, and Lee takes care of the passing game. If Miles inc. give Lee the majority of the snaps, and the associated play calling that such would demand, I don't think you're going to see a repeat of Tenn. .. I think you're going to see a completely different offense. ... one that puts up points. I keep going back to the 2008 vs 2009 comparison .. Lee put up 388 pnts, Jefferson put up 320 somthin points. I could be wrong .. but I don't think so. To be fair, I think Jefferson would do better as well if they'd stop running him and let him run the offense and pass, as opposed to being something he is not ...... a running QB. :geaux:
