That ship has sailed. Even Les must realize that Lee must start. This doesn't bother me if done judiciously. There are going to be times when we want to run the ball to grind out the clock and a running quarterback can enhance that. There will be times when Lee gets hurt or is struggling and he'll be needed to step up. But a new starter will take the pressure off and maybe let him come off the bench a better quarterback. Both of these quarterback have been thrown to the wolves and carried all of the pressure for the team and most of the blame for our few losses. Let them share the pressure.
I wonder if you can bet in Vegas on who starts, because at this point, I really think Les is going to start Jefferson.
Les's plan is to confuse UF on who will start up until the last minute. Then, Lee will start but JJ will come in and exclusively run QB Draws and Options. Urban's D won't know what to do then!
Whoever doesn't think it's a goddamn joke that Jefferson is warranted more playing time this season, please stand up and be counted.
For those of you who don't know, JJ's family works at Canes and is always hooking Miles up with secret shaushe. JJ will start.
Why are you pegging that disaster, the option plays, to Miles? Crowton has a long history of using it when everyone in creation knows it doesn't work.
Really, really cannot see how you run Jordan Jefferson back out there after 3/10 for 30 yards and two picks, on top of the subpar efforts of the previous three games. Of course, Miles/Crowton took the ball out of Jarrett Lee's hands for the final sequence after he had led us down the field on the final drive of the Tennessee game, so who knows what his rationale is. I really think Jarrett Lee has earned the right to lead this team for a full game and show what he can do. I've seen enough from Jefferson. Four weeks, and no improvement, if anything he's regressed. He nows turns the ball over almost as frequently as Lee did, just no pick sixes (by the grace of God) Take away the first play of the game last week, and are we even having this discussion? How about the coaches?
Did anyone else notice that we ran alot more screens, and tailback flares when Lee came in the game. Is that not backwards or what? Why isn't that called for a quarterback who couldn't complete a sentence, much less a pass.
