No chance he sniffs the NFL. To paraphrase Hermann Goering, "If Jefferson plays a single NFL down, you can call me Meyer. "

Don't underestimate Jefferson who knows if he had 4 more games under his belt this year to add to his already impressive win totals as a starter? Would he be considered a heisman candidate had he rushed for two and passed for two TDs a game all year on the best team in the history of college football? If Oakland drafted that brother from the Ohio state buckeyes last year then I say why not? Tom Brady was a 12 Rd draft pick no one said he was worth a crap.

I sat through the 90's of LSU football. Did you? If so, you know we have had MANY worse QB's than Jefferson. Personally, I have to believe that Crowton's goofy offense and inadequate QB coaching contributed to JJ's ineffectiveness as much as anything.

He's had games, even then, that were effective. And he's effective this year, too. One of our worst ever is a diss.

No just Retard! JJ is an Aaron Brooks without the passing ability.
I would not waste a pick on him. He will be taking your order at McDonalds when football is over.

Comparing the ability to accurately pass the ball and read defenses between a four time superbowl champion, superbowl MVP and future hall of fame qb and Jefferson is a great disservice to Jefferson.
The pro game and college game are very diffrent. Look at the offenses and how they are ran. Jefferson had to have this offense dumbed down for him. Do you think he can run a complex NFL offense? It takes more than being 6'5 and tough as nails to make a good NFL qb. You must be able to read defenses and change plays at the line. You must be able to make those back shoulder throws and quick reads. Jj only throws to receivers that are wide open. If a receiver has one step on a defensive back in the NFL he's as open as he will get unless there is a busted coverage. No general manager is going to give jj millions and no coach will trust jj to be able to make those throws enough to waste a draft pick on him. He may make a practice squad somewhere, maybe. I doubt he ever takes a snap in an NFL game. There are too many other qb's out there that can make those passes. Hell, just think if that kid from Houston played for lsu. He will go NFL before jj. The Boise state qb, baylors qb, Wisconsins qb, okie states qb all have better passing stats than jj and would play in the NFL before him. Jj is a good kid and has done lsu well but will not play in the NFL. Not accurate enough.
