Miles is smart enought to know that the threat of a runnning QB is much stronger when he has the ability to throw. He has been attempting to prove that JJ's passing must be respected. JJ going 7/7 with a TD this week, on top of hitting the long TD bomb the prior 2 weeks, was a great way to show D coaches that if they bring those safeties up to close to stop the run, they will get burnt. And he still has JL in his hip pocket if JJ gets in trouble. Let's be honest. We have 3 games left, against numbers 3, 12(?), and 2. We need it all to go undefeated. We are so lucky to have 2 Senior QB's to lead us through this impossible road schedule. Let's get 'er done! GEAUX TIGERS!
Who won the "big games" and "fast" games last season? (Lee) Who made more "poor" decisions over the past three seasons? (Jefferson) We don't have a two-QB system any longer. Miles has ALL his eggs in one basket. Any chance of having a two-QB system is now gone. I don't hate JJ and don't love JL...I just thought our best chance was playing both. If a "new & improved" JJ has emerged we can win it all as we only need a QB who can manage the game. If the JJ we've known the past two season returns, the SEC will win another title...but it will read Alabama or Arkansas.
Kind of like at the Chick-fil-a bowl, and the Cotton Bowl. You could see it. He was in control, and played with confidence.:hihi:
But you do agree that out of the two QBs that needed the most reps, it was definitely Jefferson in the passing game? What happened last night will go a long way towards winning the championship. Aside from the Georgia Tech and Texas A&M games, this was the best and most confident JJ has ever looked. Again, this is a GREAT thing for LSU.
Total BS. <sarcasm>I am so honored that we have many people on this board who are inside Les Miles' mind and know what he is really thinking instead of the obvious disinformation that he throws out in press conferences and interviews.</sarcasm> Our best chance at victory in these last 3 games is to not turn the ball over. Is that chance better with a QB that can also provide a running threat or with a QB that is about as mobile as Roseann Barr? I trust in Les. He's gotten us to our best chance at our 1st an undefeated season since 1958. For most of us here, an undefeated season has not been something we've seen in our entire lives. CLM will play whichever QB is the better person at the helm in each situation. All of this talk of Miles secretly wanting Jefferson over Lee is bizarre speculation plucked completely out of thin air with no supporting evidence whatsoever. Don't mean to call you out, bro, I just get tired of people second guessing a coach who has produced a team that is the 1st unanimous #1 team in over 3 years. Peace.
Geez, will you stop acting like you and only you have all the answers. We have our best shot with two quarterbacks playing. They both have superlatives and they are both flawed. Lee throws an interception now and then. Jefferson gets sacked a lot and fumbles now and then.
