I don't think it's so much about race as it is people refusing to look beyond what he's done in previous seasons. And I really don't get it. Sure, much of 2010 was abysmal for JJ. But he also began improving and had a few great games (UNC, bama, Miss, ATM) where he played confidently and really showcased his abilities. It's certainly clear to me that we are getting THAT JJ on the field this year consistently. And when he's playing with confidence, he is extremely dangerous.

i posted (probably a few times, lol) at the beginning of the season that the reports from the national media (not local homers) at the manning camp was that jj was a lot better. i also said that to me, not seeing if krags coaching him would translate to his play in game situations, would be my one big unanswered question of the season, no matter how it went. i really thought after the great shady's cluster **** that we would not see him at all. at the time, it appeared to me that the coaching translated to on the field play for jl, and i really wanted that question answered about jj also.

and it has been answered. imo, both our qb's are greatly improved. it appears that a good qb coach was the missing component. our whole o is better, but both qb's appear more confident and in command when on the field. seeing the growth and improvement has me happy for both young men.

Is a racist going to be intelligent enough to hide their bigotry? From my experience most racists are too dumb to realize there is something wrong with their beliefs

yes, let's just be happy for both of them

We'll look back on this season as a pair of QBs who played at a very high level and helped LSU win a national championship.

That's what I will remember at least.

i don't care really who's at qb as long as we're winning. i prefer Lee because it makes for a more exciting offensive play. the running is the safest form of play but to much can make the game dull. now when the passing games on and the rb's are busting the defense's chops and our defense is sacking, attacking and picking off passes it's just like them Old Milwaukee commercials used to say."it doesn't get any better than this" Les Geaux Tigers!!! WIN THAT NC! :crystal:

    Jesus ... what a thread

Les stated again in the presser that he will continue to use two QBs.

I'll be thrilled when this season's over cuz i won't have to hear

Any more of this stupid shight in 2012

Mettenberger can run like a deer and throw better than these two.

Our 2-QB Nightmare will finally end in just a few games :geaux:

I did not. I said I choose to trust him over others. I said several times I wasn't trying to sway anyone's opinion. I don't care if y'all wanna be uninformed.

No .. .the Bama game was proof that he was quick to pull the plug on Lee. We all expected that. It says nothing about his willingness to pull JJ if he struggles.

Last year was proof that he was willing to leave a struggling JJ in, and lose the game. This year, against WKU, he stated that WKU was showing them some unexpected stuff ... and that they thought JJ was the best answer. When things are tough, you go with who you have the most confidence in, and that would be JJ. That statement is also the proof that CLM has little confidence in Lee .. who won the first 4 games without a JJ anywhere in site.

Personally, I don't expect JJ to suck as bad as he did last year. His play in the last two games is quite different from last year. BUT .. IF .. he is struggling, ... as I noted, will CLM be willing to pull the plug on JJ, as he did on Lee in the Bama game? [we can't know that answer unless it happens].

I hope it doesn't come to that, and that JJ plays the best game of his life and spanks AR out of revenge by 3 scores.

Yes, you have said that and actually accentuated it.
