Jefferson has a serious swagger about him now

Nah .. this is just your biased opinion. Lee isn't cooked. In fact, LSU could have beaten Bama with Lee, maybe even avoided the OT.

I've said it before, I'll repeat, LSU's offensive coaches have not had to figure out how to win with Lee since JJ's return. They had to figure out how to win against Oregon, they had to figure out how to win against WVU, and Moostate. Kentucky, TN, Auburn, Ol Miss, WKU, Northwestern, Florida, ... were not challenges at all. Mett could have played the majority of those snaps and we would have won with style. When Bama came around, JJ was on board. CLM was already thinking how he was going to bolt to JJ if the going got tough. He did not have to figure out how to win with Lee, just stick JJ in, and play it safe. I could have beat Bama with Lee. I could have beat them quite easily. But .. alas, my plan would not have been to try and beat Bama at their own game.

If the Bama performance is all your using to make your bet, you better not bet the farm, because JJ did not put in some sort of stellar performance. 3 points .. that was all. First and Goal at the Bama 2, and JJ Co. could not punch it in. In fact, it is true, Bama put up more yards than we did, more First downs, etc etc. Special Teams won that game, .. period, end of story [with a little help from Saban].

Lee's not cooked. You haven't seen him play the last two games more than a series. ... but .. alas, JJ seems to have improved a great deal since last year ... at least on the surface facing WkU and Ol Miss. Let's hope it is for real. ... and JJ hits his peak here at the end of the season.

Anybody choosing the QB based on race, I wouldn't even want as an LSU fan. Go root for someone else, please.

The animosity on the other site regarding this situation is sickening.

They bicker all day long about who does what well and even more so who doesn't do something well.

It's pathetic. LSU fans unhappy with this team right now because Lee isn't starting. That's crazy.

I trust the Hat...if he decided that my 90 yo grandma was the starting QB I'd be happy with it. He knows things we do not know, and there are no more coaches more loyal to his players than him. If he decides to take Lee out after Lee won so many games, there must be a good reason.

A lot of the JJ hate is racial. Not everybody, obviously, but don't tell me it doesn't exist.

Lee doesn't like getting hit. It affects his whole game.

What bias? I don't give a chit which one of em starts. Neither of em are very good. But I totally understand the reasoning. I, not someone else...just IIII, saw Lee's weaknesses from the beginning. Multiple times this year, under the threat of pressure, he bent over, cradled the ball and waited patiently for the hit. IIII, said to myself, that's going to be a problem down the line. So I, not anyone else, just I, totally understand the reasoning for the change.

What's showing here, is a legion of folks who never wanted JJ starting from day one, and who do not want to accept that JL was always the backup. Always. That's the bias in this whole thing. Skin color be damned...

    Oooookkkkkaaaayyy.....

Sorry dude, short passes against Bama with Lee has repeated pick 6's written all over it. There is a reason they didn't do what you wanted to do. Accept that fact that you aren't as good of a coach as Les Miles. I can understand that Saban is having a hard time with it, but it should be pretty easy for you. :hihi:

    His number 1 issue.

Otherwise he wouldn't be falling back on just about every throw. Even when there is no rush.

But like others have said, Lee is deadly when there is no pressure. More so than JJ. But we can't count on perfect pass protection going up against our last 3 opponents.

Miles said we will continue to use two quarterbacks ... Jarrett Lee will play in these final games!

    Mark it!

Yeah, the LSU style of short passes don't work well, that's because they r not option passes that utilize reading the defenses response.
