:geaux: Good read here. :LSU231: http://www.thetowntalk.com/article/20111211/SPORTS/112110343/LSU-fans-upset-over-Lee-s-treatment?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s
So .. what did you take away from that read??? What did you read between the lines?? This is what I read .... 1) This issue is something that is top of mind of many fans, as well as media people. It is so blatant that it cannot be ignored. 2) Lee has performed exceptionally well this season, to the point that he may end up being the top rated QB of the SEC, ending the season as the "back up" QB. 3) Lee says he wants to contribute when his number is called, and he thinks JJ is "managing the game" [we've all heard those words before] well, and the team is winning and that is all that matters. [between the lines: Managing the game, means you are not a play maker ... Lee would very much like to be the one out their "managing the game" .. and "winning is all that matters" is code word, for I wish it was me out there doing the winning. The kid is feeling slighted, but he's taking one for the team in the media's eyes.]. 4) Fans and the Media keep asking CLM what's up! CLM keeps answering with "we plan to play Lee, in the right situation". [Between the Lines" .. this is total B.S. It is waving of hands and an excuse. In the right situation is a catch phrase that covers your butt, and your intentions. It gives you the out. The right time to play Lee was when JJ went 6 3-outs in a row .. but we didn't see him. CLM is implying that he has total faith in JJ and no faith in Lee ... what CLM is saying is the right time .. is akin to something like .. when we are ahead 100-0 .. yeah .. that'll be the right time. ... ie., the right situation is a situation that will never exists!! .... or . CLM is protecting Lee from the public with regards to some other issue.
What I took away from that was that Dildeaux doesn't like Miles and is always spewing drivel like that non-story.
So ... the call lines light up on the radio shows about it, media members asking questions about it .... ... and it is a non-story??
I ,for one, is one of the fans who like Lee A LOT. Although he may feel slighted, hope he continues to believe in himself and think of the whole saga in terms of the team, not about himself. He may well be called upon in the final big game to save the day; who knows. I think Miles answered the press' question as well as he can. He has got to have a reason, whatever it may be. As far as he goes, he has to make decisions based on the whole team, and not just for one individual. We just don't know if Lee has any issues. Think it's time to let this old topic to be put aside for the time being...and let the final chapter of this special season be played out on Jan. 9th.:tigereye:
