Are you implying that with 5 additional weeks of practice to come that a) there's a Jefferson will look like that again? and b) Lee wouldn't be ready if needed? Lee is a senior, it's not like he NEEDS game reps. He's been through the fire, he'll be ready if needed. You act as if he's going to forget how to play between now and January.

You are absolutely right red. It's the coaches job to make sure that there is a contingency plan. Jefferson has to be mentally tough enough to understand that when u play a half like that, then u take a seat. It's not all about JJ or JL individually. They play a role. An important role but a role nonetheless. It goes both ways. There would have been no crime in Lee coming in. God everybody...when JJ is bad, he is really bad. We should be referring to them as the starter and the back up in this kind of discussion. People tend to take it personally when the JJ vs JL talk starts. I'm for whichever guy gets our team into the endzone.

Miles has not gained a reputation as a player's coach to so openly penalize a individual player since he has been here at LSU. As for Jefferson, he will go down as the WORST QB to have won a national championship. He can't CONSISTENTLY throw accurately nor read defenses and make adjustments at the line. Not you particularly.. there are tons of people on this board sayin nothing matters except winning... I am just disagreeing with that mentality.
Lee played a half like that against Bama and we won. It's not all on JJ. Piss poor field position, no blocking for him, etc
