I agree the cameras on him every time a pass is inaccurately throw is annoying. Wish they wouldn't do that, but they gotta make drama, and they know there's a sucker born every minute. Fortunately, the suckers are the fans, not the players. I wouldn't know for sure, but maybe Lee is glad he got to take that knee the other day in LSU's 11th SEC Championship victory. I find it interesting that people have somehow forgotten that Miles was incredibly slow to pull LEE in 2008, even though the fans were BOOING him, and actually CHEERED WHEN HE GOT HURT!! Miles isn't quick to pull the trigger on his QBs. Never has been, never will be. He's also won 80% of the games he's coached, and is heading to his 2nd BCSNCG. He's also the only coach in LSU history to have a 12-0, or 13-0 record. He's also the best recruiter I've ever seen. No...doesn't always get the number one class, but he would if he wouldn't take those dam 3 stars like Tyrann Mathieu and Mo Claiborne, and if he wouldn't waste schollies on 2 star kickers. Oh wait...
Right there. Your implication was clear. But if that's not what you meant, sorry. Also, if that's not what you meant, then your comment was pretty much meaningless. You didn't say he forgot to throw a football or anything, but it implies he should be getting snaps in the game so he's not rusty. Well that's what practice is for. Once grades come out, I'm sure the National Coach of the Year will make sure his backup QB gets some reps.
I won't make any of those arguments because I find them stupid. Look at situational stats, especially red zone offense. Lee blows JJ out of the water. Lees "bad game" as you call it he still threw for 168 yards and had a 128 QB rating. Out of the 9 games JJ has played in, he has had 3 games with a worse QB rating, and one that was within a few points. Basically half of JJs games passing are worse or equal to Jlees so called "bad game". Lee has played in 13 games, JJ in 9. Lees numbers are double JJs. If you want to argue JJs had limited snaps in some of his games I'd argue at least 4 games have had very limited playing time by Lee. If you want to argue that JJ adds running ability I will accept that but lets look at total yards. Lee has less than 30 more total plays than JJ for the year, but has almost 400 more total yards, 5 more TDs and averages over 1 more yard per play than JJ. All of these arguments I find stupid though because it's not Lee vs JJ for me. As I've stated before I don't care who starts as long as we win. My only argument is that people are trying to justify Miles actions and calling Lee bad based off of one bad HALF by Lee and I find it crazy. This year he's played better at the QB position than any QB has at LSU over the last 5 years. Lee is polarized due to half of one bad game, yet he's played far above that.
This is my first post ever so I apologize if it sounds like I'm rambleling. First I want to say that I am a CLM fan and I'm proud of this team. I am however frustrated with Mile's handling of the QB situation. Call it what you want but it is a HUGE slap in the face to play every snap until the Bama game and then all of a sudden Lee is not good enough to throw one pass. It doesn't make sense. JJ is not lighting it up at the qb position and JL should have been put in the Ark and the Ga game when JJ was playing terrible. Even if JJ is the best QB in CLM mind why not put JL in at the end when the outcome has been decided for a few series? That would have shown some class. I am all for going with the hot hand but CLM never pulls JJ. When Lee is the starter they rotate out to give the defense different looks and go with the hot hand. When JJ is the starter we ride him until we lose or our defense/special teams saves us. Don't kid yourself and think this didn't almost happen against Ga. and it may be Miles downfall in the NCG. If Lee feels separated from the team he has every right to be. I was the full time starter (2 years) for my highschool soccer team and I missed a few games due to illness and I never played again. We beat our biggest rival and went to the playoffs but the wins were empty because I never saw the field and I didn't contrubute as a Senior. I was replaced by someone the coached loved and he was no better than me. I was actually happy when we lost in the playoffs and it was partly because of my replacement. Don't trash JL for having a poor attitude, WTF do you exspect? Big picture is we are undefeated and this is the best LSU team I have ever seen. CLM has proven to make good decisions and seems to be a great character coach. I hope there is something we don't know because it looks like JL is getting slapped in the face for staying his Senior year. PS- We are fans and this is a message board so we have EVERY right to question the coach and have adult conversations. Isn't that what these boards are for? Man we have talked about this to no end but I'm not sure where else to start with your post so I'll just say it......you were glad your team lost cuz you werent playing??? where did you go to school and what year? I played my whole life.
I put up the percentages so it would be impossible to phuck it up. You proved some folks just can't accept facts. Tiger tap nailed it though...good luck finding a way around that stat. And the reason Lee hadn't played much has been stated. You either believe it or you don't. I really don't care, except I assume you're an LSU fan, and as a fellow LSU fan, I would hate to think I'd be too busy complaining about the national coach of the year in an unprecedented season to enjoy it. I know I would rather accept that the coach has a very good reason to not play the guy and be happy we're still blowing everyone we play off the field every game.
Dissection of this post: A new person who doesn't care if there's a legit reason other than on the field performance keeping Jarrett off the field. Another person that will claim people like me only care about winning and not about Lees feelings, when in actuality, I bet miles cares more about lee than any of us and is doing what he's doing for Lees benefit. In other words, someone new to start over from the beginning with the same old chit people have been whining about for weeks without knowing what they're talking about. Welcome.
I played football and soccer for Sulphur High School. Our soccer coach was jealous of the football team and loved the "soccer only" guys. I know this topic has been beat into the ground but I just think some people in here are bashing people for noticing the dispect that JL has endured. That being said I don't care who plays qb as long as we win the NCG. I will be super pissed if JJ plays terrible and JL never sees the field in a loss which is what I am afraid might happen.
