1. With RS coming back, the WR sweep play is back, so motion in the backfield with the WR's will help our offensive attack. Especially on 3rd & 5 or 3 & 6.

Having one more key receiver who can also hold blocks down field is going to help tremendously, but more with fakes, PA, & the looks and packages we will start showing the opposing defense. Rather than just 1 WR lined up outside (TD Pass) we will start having 2 and Beckham as a true slot WR. – That excites me! We can start working the screen as well. Have we even ran a screen yet?????

I am also disappointed with as many times as Moo U blitzed, DP was not a bigger target and/or weapon.
  2. Not sure exactly, but I would guess that we'll see some more bubble screen action for sure to RS.
  3. at least 3 last night. the last was on 3rd down on our last possession killed by our timeout (so officially it doesnt count). then we ran instead to kill more clock.

    then kicked a fg.
  4. I am not being critical of the strategy, just trying to keep Lee's performance in perspective.

This is Les Miles football - control the line of scrimmage, protect the ball, win games in the fourth quarter against a softened up defense.

I love seeing this brand of football take it to the flash and dash style that everyone else seems to drool over.

But, I do hope to see them start taking more chances on third down.
  5. Thats right, I should change that to have we ran any successful screens yet? :D
  6. I want to see more passes down field on 1st and 2nd down. Go for the score, not just the gain. With RS comming back, with his speed, I can see some down field action happening. Third down needs to be a get the first down play, unless we are up by 2 or 3 possessions.

No offense .. 4-life .. but I HATE that bubble screen. Once or twice a game is about all it's good for IMO. :miles:

  7. Not the bubble screen (Hate it Too) the real RB screen pass.

RS coming back is HUGE for JL and our entire offense. It opens the playbook with the threat of his speed. We now have 2 wide outs(that MUST be covered) and a true slot WR who will take the fastest LB out of the play. Whether we line RS or OD up in the slot, the passes over the middle & out routes become much more of a threat, the formations, play actions, fakes, and audibles become much more of a threat as well.

It is IMHO that at some point between WVU & UF, LSU opens up a true passing game and we force teams to back out of the box and our running game gets going even better!
  8. This one.
  9. How many completions did Lee have since his last int.? I know the commentators were quoting something like 4th longest streak last night during the game.:thumb:
