Whoops, I meant over his career. Yup, that quick release is good and he also throws a very nice fade. He can read defenses, he just needs the confidence to step into throws. I saw a lot of that confidence in the first 8 games. I almost wished we would have passed the ball more with him at QB.

Talking with a NFL Draft guy this morning, he has Lee rated a little higher than JJ. But thats him. Lee helped himself in this game. He's a little better in passing, reading a defense and has a quicker release. He also said that both could get into a NFL camp. Remember, teams need arms. They need people to throw in these camps. JJ is the better athlete, but most know this. Best of luck to both.
Lee's got the Astroturf thingy comming up later as well. If he can shine in that game too, maybe he'll move up a tad more. And someone said something about a third invite .. but I don't know what it is. Granted .. Lee is not going to be perceived as a Luck or RGIII, but as you said, he may can get into an NFL camp as an arm, and go from there. I still think it is a shame that CLM et al., didn't expand the offense to maximize Lee's strengths after he took over as starter at the first of the year. It's hard for any pocket passing QB to look very good in a run offense.
I did an internet search on the game here is Headline: "Casino Del Sol All-Star Game: LSU's Jarrett Lee throws two touchdowns in loss"
Tiger Droppings posted these stats: 12 of 17 170 yds 2 TDs 0 INTs 1 key 4th down bootleg for a first down.
Last I checked, the NFL still plays Defense. The NFL is a faster paced game than College Football, with Bigger, Stronger, Faster players, who hit harder. I hate to say it, but the flaws in JL's mechanics will be even more greatly exposed in the NFL. But, the mechanics are not his biggest flaw. His problem is between the ears (tendancy to throw pick 6's, which affects his confidence) and being scared of getting hit, and no pocket presence. Anyone who thinks JL can fool NFL scouts to believe he is a NFL caliber backup/3rd string is dreaming. I hope the best for JL, and appreciate what he accomplished at LSU and this season, but I hope he studied hard and had a good major at LSU.
?? confused by your response. Point to my post is that as good of a kid JL is, he is not a NFL prospect. Flynn, on the other hand, has/had a different skill set than does JL. His skill set will allow him to compete in the NFL, JL's won't.
