So, the declared winner planned an insurgency? Makes perfectly good sense. Actually, makes no sense at all.

You see the videos of the capital police literally letting the "insurrectionist" inside?

    Why would they do that?

Your statement also suggest that Americans would never turn on each other but I remind you of Russia Gate. 100% fabrication. This was just another fabrication to finally put Trump 6 feet under. Though, it failed again.....

Exactly how would that have been accomplished? If viking horn guy had managed to get into the house chamber and steal the ballot box, would he have been declared president? There was no insurrection and there was no attempt to overturn an election. There was a protest, at which, unfortunately, some people got out of hand. They will face charges and rightfully so.

The coup attempt/plan was laid out in John Eastman's (trump's lawyer) memo. But an insurrection doesn't have to be a successful or even well-planned coup attempt. The dictionary says "a violent uprising against an authority or government". Fits that definition to a T.

    The dictionary says otherwise.

The John Eastman coup memo proves otherwise.

first off, you didn't answer my question. why would the victors plan an insurrection? AND WHY DO YOU THINK 45 EXPRESSED "LOVE" FOR THE INSURRECTIONISTS AND TELL THEM THEY WERE "VERY SPECIAL" ON JAN 6? AND WHY DID IT TAKE HOURS AFTER IT STARTED FOR 45 TO FINALLY ASK THEM TO LEAVE THE BUILDING? BE HONEST HERE...NO BS. (I really don't expect honesty out of anyone on the far right or far left). did you listen to 45's, Lin wood, DT Jr, Bannon and others speech that day and weeks before? the last 5 years (probably 13 years) has shown how much hate there is in this country. really ramped up when 45 started his birther conspiracy. 45 only took it to new levels with continuous lies and conspiracy theories. I'm a conservative. always have been. but I am willing to call a person a liar when it is so plain they are one. 40% conservatives are just delusional. the far left are damaging in their own right. there is no middle ground. I pity for our children. their parents espouse hatred of socialism (or fascism) while fascism (or socialism) is banging on the door.

Define "uprising." At some entrances to the capitol, police stepped aside and welcomed protesters in. Meanwhile, Antifa repeatedly attempted to burn a federal building in Portland while federal employees were inside. Sounds like insurrection. Antifa cordoned off several blocks of downtown Seattle for 3 weeks, built walls with checkpoints and claimed it as their own. Insurrection? Still waiting for the Democratic Party-controlled Congress to hold hearings on those.
