McFarland commented on his top 3 teams (LSU, OU, UT).

LSU is high on his list due to access to water (mississippi river I presume) and his love for gumbo.

Dammit, it's about time cajun cooking came into play for one of these big time recruits.

Being close to home is paramount to him, so I don't think any other team will figure into his recruitment, and none of this top 3 has a decided advantage in that regard.

Les Miles' being so down to earth (along with the entire coaching staff) may be the clincher.

    Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Won't announce until the fall, at the earliest.

besides us or besides ou,UT and LSU
also are we the favorite or just one of the 3 favorites?
that would be a sick combo CD and JM any team that plays us would be forced to pull a hawaii and only throw the ball wow that would be incredible

only OU, LSU and UT should end up being his top 3 due to his need for proximity to home

They are all even as far as I can surmise

In Scout's interview with McFarland, he mentioned that UT, LSU, and OU were all close enough that he could get home in case of an emergency, but far enough away to grow up on his own. (Isn't UT down the road from his house?)

Whether we get McFarland or not will not be a big deal to me. I'd love to have him in this class, but I'll be very pleased with Sentimore if not.
