Matt Mauck will leave LSU as one of the most storied and legendary quaterbacks to ever play for the tigers. It may not be based on raw talent, but it will be legitimate. He is surrounded by the most talent of any QB in modern times in BR. He has the confidence of the team, and he is a great leader. A couple of runs at a championship this year and next, and his place in history will be solidified. Geaux Tigers!

Mauck may be a Junior in eligibility but he is a freshman in game experience. Show me another player with his experience that looks better. The only other LSU quarterbacks that have played as well with the limited experience were Herb Tyler and Tommy Hodson. Neither Davey, Nall, nor J Booty played as well their first year.

If both freshman are redshirted, do we have a problem next year with both of them being inexperienced? Also, is either of them a candidate to be converted to another position if he cannot make it at quarterback?

the freshmen being inexperienced will not be a problem because both Mauck and Randall will be back next year.....and trust me, both will be able to make it a QB, its just a matter of who will start.
