what a great problem to have for lsu. what order do you think the depth chart will be after spring ball, assuming mauck doesn't return? imo, 1. randall, 2. flynn, 3. russell.

and just imagine these 2 have 4 more years to go. i don't see how lsu can keep russell off the field when he matures. the kid may grow to be 6' 7" or better. imagine the nfl scouts drooling in a few years, i'm drooling now. he reads opposing defenses better probably because he can see over both lines better than anyone else. here's another possibility. having both and using both flynn and russell gives lsu more offensive possibilities.

Russell, Randall, Flynn. I think Saban wants experience at his backup spot. The only reason why I think it will shakeout this way.

I read something on this the other day and from that it sounds like Saban is gonna try to play both thereby not wasting either kids talent.

The starting job will be won in the spring. That's not at all to say that the other won't be getting any PT. In the first couple of games, you will likely see both freshmen get PT, unless one freshman clearly separates in the spring. Randall may also get some snaps, assuming he is the #2 or 3. Randall earned his ring by staying loyal to LSU. He will have to be satisfied being the backup.
