In writing this original post i didnt mean to imply that JR is not a good QB and that i am not happy that he is playing for LSU.

I was just trying to state that he does have some areas in his game that still need improvement .

And to the guy that said you never see the ball hit the receivers in perfect stride i would point you to the Michigan game last week. Yes it does happen and if JR will work on it and improve we will score on many more long touchdown plays.

That was the point i wanted to make.

If you truly haven't seen any improvements, I seriously question your knowledge of football.

I'm not sure if we're watching the same LSU games, lol.

His completion% was barely above 50% his 1st season, 60% last year, and is currently around 67%.

    How is that not improvement???

JS is a South Panola fan. He's not able to understand how a team can manage to lose any game.

Your points about Farve and especially Rice do not make any sense. First off, they didn't play in the SEC therefore you cannot use them to dispell the notion that JR playing against these great defenses is a factor in his developement and stats. Second, do you really think Farve would have fared better had he played in the SEC full time instead of a couple of games in his college career? And using a receiver proves absolutely nothing. All these examples do is show that good players can come from crappy conferences/divisions and I don't think anyone was arguing against that point.

I mean improvements in those areas of reading D's and ball management.

YOU may seriously question anything you like but that doesn't make you an expert. I seriously question your ability to recognize we are only 4 games into the season quoting stats from this year versus last year. Yes he has improved, just not allot in the areas I mentioned. I was hoping for allot more.

If you'd quit trying to "demean" people who post their opinion and just respect that opinion I'd take you more seriously, but it's your choice.

BTW: Are you currently employed as a football scout? So if you aren't I guess your opinion is about as good as mine. Maybe not even quite that good come to think of it.

    Have a great day.

He might have, that's just the point, you have no way of knowing. he may be just that good. Actually he was just that good.

I think this point flew about 4-6 ft over your head, no offense meant.

why don't we just move on, I don't see any better way to explain it than what I already did. maybe re-read the post? good luck with that.

    have a great day.

Actually, I am VERY happy with the record LSU has produced in the last few years. Overall very happy with the QB's. It's just human nature to want a zero in the lose column. It was good to win that NC wasn't it?

OB is a tough team. They always play SP tough, and we have to play them up there this week.
No doubt it would be heart wrenching if those boys lost number 51, but it still wouldn't be as bad as LSU losing a game. I am first a LSU Tiger fan, then a SP Tiger fan.

Interesting story about the Olive Branch, SOuth Panola series, last year allot of hype was built up b4 the game because OB had a DANG good team. They had the best chance of beating SP of anyone that played them.

Well the Thursday before the game apparently someone from OB came to South panola and wrote some "smack" on the field house wall. This REALLY got the SP Tiger football players motivated to win. I think the score was something like 47-3? or maybe zilch not sure. anyway Rumor has it the South panola assistant coaches "might" have approved that message... lol :hihi:

The game this week is the ESPN HS game of the week, you can listen live.

    http://asp.usatoday.com/sports/preps/football/scores/front.aspx

of course you can listen live @ panola.com but the SP radio announcer leaves allot to be desired, but hey that's HS football for you. lol

Don't you think this is a bit over the top? I don't think anyone was calling for his head. Just talking about some football.
