I hate they he could go to such a disfuntional franchise like the Raiders. He guess we will have to wait and see, but I think him going to Lions or the Browns would be better for him.

Ewwww! I hate to disagree with you, but the Browns and Lions are franchises that are always near the bottom.

At least in Oakland, he would be surrounded by a solid defense and weapons on offense (Moss, LaMont Jordan, etc.) Oakland's major flaw was a less than spectacular O-line (something that a big-bodied QB like JR could overcome until they re-enforce it) and Gallery is a more than capable center piece for a rebuilding. And Oakland, not long ago, was a serious playoff contender, which is a lot more than Cleveland and Detroit can claim to be.

Cleveland is searching for a QB and have wasted a lot of picks on the position--which means they haven't spent as many picks upgrading their other areas of need. That leads to problems all across the roster.

Detroit MIGHT be a decent fit, but Kitna's not a bad QB (he's just not a great one) and they still had problems. The WR's at Detroit (and all those 1st-rounders I might add) have injury problems and their defense isn't great.

I think, not sure though, that it was mark May that said LSU is a NFL player "farm".

Replace Aaron Brooks and the Raiders problems are largely solved. He's a proven loser and this year's record was no coincidence.

As long as Al Davis is breathing the Raiders many problems are no where close to being solved.

I used to say that about Benson and the Saints.

The Saints have been to the playoffs once before. I am very pleased with the success of the Saints this year, butttt we have been here once before. I will not believe in Benson when the Saints have more than this season in the playoffs. You think the Saints could be another Steelers franchise?

Against all odds I've got 'em in the Superbowl, winning of course?

Best of luck in the NFL to Russell and Dorsey. I know both will do well. Thanks for everything. As much as it hurts us to lose two great players it does well for the program down the road. It hurts our preseason ranking and slightly lessens our chances overall at getting to the title game. I have a ton of confidence in Flynn. I just hope the coaches will have that confidence in him as well and play just like they normally would. I always feel you have to play to win, not play to lose. The DL will still be spectacular. Take a look at next years starting DL: Jackson, Alexander, Favorite, and Francois. Pretty damn impressive starting DL. THe exposure of send two junior into the draft to be top 15 picks will show LSU churns out NFL talent. The talk is now that Russell may overtake Quinn as the top player taken. A lot of talk he may go one or two or definite top 5 type pick. Dorsey may also make the top ten. Landry will most likely be in the top 15, no less than 20. That right there will help LSU bring in more big time national recruits. The snow ball effect keeps on rolling. LSU is a national power that is here to stay.

The previous Saints' playoff teams had Superbowl talent. This team, overall, has 7-9 talent.
