He's a slow learner, but how can anyone have success with that O-line? Get him some talent to go with D-Mac and I think he'll be fine.

They talk about a drop off the second half of the season. I wonder (suspect) what firing Kiffin had to do with the drop off. If they are mutating the offense in mid season, that could have something to do with it. He just learned the OLD offense. Maybe a more experienced NFL QB like Farve could deal with it, but it would be hard on a first year starter, IMO.
Mike Mayock, highly respected NFL analyst said before the game tonite that even though Russell has phenomenal physical skills, he still has basically no pocket awareness. He said that just before the game. And unfortunately Russell gets hit in the pocket and fumbles on the very first series of the game.
