    First of all someone should ban TIDE-HSV, because that would never be allowed on TideFans!

    Obviously, you have never been to tidefans.com. You would have been banned for starting such a disruptive post, especially if you were not a bama fan. Just an opinion that's all. I like tigerforums because you can speak your mind no matter what team you cheer for.

    i have always taken "alumnus" to mean graduate, but a search of internet dictionaries showed only one that defined it strictly as graduate instead of student.

    No. For more than one reason. It's been mentioned in this thread...concerning how well he would have done in the offensive set. Secondly, Shula wasn't known for playing who should be in the game as much as he played up to different parents, past players, etc. About the only thing he played up to more were those offering commercial endorsement packages to him.

    Another HUGE difference between Shula and Saban. Personally, I don't give a damn if our coach promotes a soft drink or a brand of potato chips.
