Why is every post you make a slam and why do you think anyone wants to read that? I'm willing to take criticism, but if that's all you've got then you're little more than a nuisance.

    1. LSU Board

    2. "Maybe the greatest QB workout ever" is a far cry from most reports about Quinn's, which were along the lines of "not bad."

I was a little shocked with how much criticism JR received from LSU fans during the middle of this year but maybe that was just due to his enormous potential. The Auburn game was more of a coaching thing and the Florida loss was due to really wierd miscues (muffed punt, kickoff, fumble on the 1) but Russell always kept his composure and kept firing.

I don't like Quinn because he played at ND and has had a few odd comments about Russell. However, I could very easily see him being a better NFL QB than Russell. He went against an LSU D that was far superior than the one JR played against in N.O. JR had possibly the best collection of WR's in college football history and an offensive line that was solid in pass protection. I guess my point is that if Quinn had Bowe, Buster, & Doucet and played against ND's D that he would've had a game similar to JaMarcus in the Sugar Bowl.

I respectfully disagree with you. JR will be twice as good as Quinn. One of your arguments was that Quinn played against a far superior defense (LSU). Well, if he sucked wind against our defense, wait until he has to play the likes of Chicago and Baltimore and the NFL defenses. That argument doesn't hold much water IMO.

easy there pardner. I was with ya til then. this group wasnt even the best in the country this year much less in college history. USC with smith and jarrett were better than any one receiver on our team if you look more objectively.

I might go as far to say the best group of LSU wr's but even that is doubtful.

also quinn had a very nice skill set of players around him including samardjzia who would have been a first round selection of some ill-informed team.

True but since when did anybody (I mean anybody) say Quinn had a great pro day? I read he was "good" at best and even saw John Clayton remark that he was "average" I believe.

I may have exaggerated a bit with LSU's WR group. However, you have to also consider that JR had 3 full years with Bowe, Buster, Doucet & also the same system under Jimbo. He had 3 guys that always had AT LEAST one mismatch on every play. Quinn only had one legitimate threat. I love JR and dislike Quinn but think Quinn could've given us just as many W's this year if he had 3+ years in the system with the same weapons.

As far as the NFL goes, I think JR needs to be put in a good system to reach his potential. Once again, his potential happens to be higher than any other QB ever (?) coming out of college. I'm just glad he reached his potential at LSU and went out the way he did. I'll be rooting for him on the next level.
