1. so its broken like reported but we got the weird coverup going as usual.
  2. It's still not clear, LSU is not reporting on the injury or projecting any return time. The Advocate's Ross Dellenger reported that Mills has a soft tissue injury and could return as early as the Auburn game in week three. The Times Picayune's Jim Kleinpeter reported that Mills fractured his fibula, which would sideline him 4-6 weeks.

Either way it sounds like a high-ankle sprain or a fracture and I don't expect to see Mills at 100% this season.
  3. even if hes close to 100% they will be safe with his reps and his presence will be limited either way. bad start for this team given the player involved. anyone else in the secondary and I write it off.
  4. His Mom said it's a sprain and she hopes he's back for Auburn game. We all hope she's right on both counts.

  5. mom was briefed by les miles and hrc right before.
  6. My money's on a fib fx (fracture). Otherwise, if it were an innocent sprain (ligaments strained/partially torn), no one would be making a big deal out of it. If it were a major sprain (ligaments fully torn), he would be out just as long as the fx, or longer, and may require surgery.

  7. If it's a fib fx as you suspect, do you think there's a chance he could be back for the Auburn game?
  8. At his age and healing ability, I'd guess 6-8 weeks total. Good news about bony injuries is that many tend to overheal and are stronger than ever. Whereas, soft tissue injuries tend to remain somewhat vulnerable to re injury. Negative is that bony injuries require immobilization and the muscles atrophy, so you have build up the muscle groups again, which can add time to recovery.
