Peterson is a big kid for a DB (has the body of a safety) but the pure speed and athleticism of a corner.

Eugene is a very physical corner.

I don't think you can quite say that yet. I know we all want to but he hasn't shown anything yet. He's shown he can tackle a WR after he gets beat like at Auburn. Peterson in the first game played with a huge cushion, and had that great one-armed tackle so we know he can tackle. His man coverage skills on the college level remain to be seen though.

Right now, Peterson is playing completely on talent. He hasn't had time to be immersed in the scheme or to learn the nuances of his position. But what jumps out is his explosive burst. When he decides to go for the ball, he gets there VERY quickly.

I definitely agree with this, when he learns the defense, he will be a shut down corner. He has all the tools. I would put Jai on PH, for the Florida game, Jai has the speed to run with Harvin for the first 10 yards or so. But our corners should be able to lock down their man for 5 seconds so our D-line can get to Tebow..
