I would have loved to see how all the old, white fans looked when Snoop Dogg came on the screen to start the cheer. I'd bet it was high comedy.
My brother was there and he said the place went nutts!!! But yeah your right, some of the older people were probably like "Who the hell is that"
Did the cheer go something like: Hizzotty tizzotty gizzosh almizzighty Who we bizzee Fizzle fazzle bizzle bazzle Ole Mizzle by dizzle.
Probably the same look on their faces that you're old white fans would've displayed, skippy. It was well received, to say the least.
When I saw him, I was hoping that he would shizzolate the cheer but he didn't. It was damn cool anyway.
Skippy here, that was exactly my point. Why would you bring in a rapper to a southern football game where probable 80% of the non-students don't know who he is?
Pimp Daddy, the reason is pretty clear to me. OM is trying to shake the whole civil rights thing, systematically. First we did away with the flag (good move if you ask me). Next, we are in the process of removing the colonel mascot (another bold, but good move). Now, we bring in an icon to cheer hotty toddy that appeals to a younger type of fan. Cool. Those youngsters will be grads and contributors like myself one day. I think for our U. to change national perceptions these are positive and forward moves. Right?
