See, you can't have it both ways. Either you care now, or you won't have any right complaining about it later when we lose.
The only thing I would be grumbling about is the talk that JJ may actually come back...that's when I'll turn into the grinch that stole happiness.
I'm not against him playing tonight. I'm against anointing him based off his performance tonight. I'm not sure if he got any snaps but he beat Aaron Murray in camp before Murray's freshman season.
Izzy, you can't seriously think that Miles doesn't want to win the NC worse than anyone. Our QB situation is still tenuous. Mett looked good tonight--but the competition he faced was subpar (to be kind.) Lee looked "good enough." With our running game and our defense, "good enough" from a fifth-year senior may very well get the job done. I've watched tons of football games the past two weeks, and I haven't seen anyone better than us. And that would include our friends in Tuscaloosa.
If he does we are gonna have a media circus down in BR. Could you imagine him coming back the week of the Bama game. But CLM is perfect man to CALM any media storms.
I'm sure Les wants to win it more than anyone (he'd get a hefty pay raise, for one thing). But his loyalties are great. They are tremendous, actually. They cloud his opinion at times.
Couldn't have said it or described it better myself. Take tonights safety that almost was... Lee see's the pressure, and you can see the fear jump out of the guy. The play was terribly blocked, but it's his frightened reactions to pressure that let's me know he will fold 9 times out of 10 when all of the cards are on the table... Lee was even quoted as saying that Kragthorpe coached him up of staying calm in the pocket... Basically, coach is saying, stop being a scaredy cat in the pocket.. I didn't need tonight's footage... You can watch prep, UGA spring game, and Juco footage of Zachary to know that he is the real deal... Geaux Tigers!
Dude, are you just trying to argue? I promise you, I will not be one of the ones complaining IF we lose. The only thing I have ever complained about is your boy, Crowton. Dude was an idiot, not a genius. Regarding ZM vs JL, I am simply stating that ZM looks like the smoother QB. I don't, however, think Mett should be starting pronto. I would go with experience right now. I do think he will be starting by mid-season, though. But, I trust CLM to make those decisions, and will support, for whatever that means (nil to CLM for sure), no matter what. I, mean, the coaches watch these guys everyday in practice, and we are a bunch of guys sitting around watching a game on TV. Give me a break. I trust and will support whatever the coaches decide who should be the starting QB. JL did nothing to disuade that tonight, we are simply discussing potential here and who looks like the smoother QB.
Yeah, forgot about the near safety. Just plays like that where he basically freezes and locks up. It's terrifying to see as an LSU fan.
