free markets = freedom. i dunno why that is hard to understand. corporate greed? please. complaining that profits are not shared fairly with workers? haha, what are you, communist?
Our service based economy is worthless without industries to service. That is what proponents of outsourcing seem to forget. And yes there is a problem when a CEO is making 100 million dollars a year, but the company he works for lays off 15000 guys that earn $10 an hour. If you don't think our corporate society is built to make the rich richer and keep everyone else inline you are blind. We are born hired and disposed. Sorry to get off topic.
Where did I say that profits are not shared fairly with workers? Maybe you misunderstood my remarks about CEO pay or my comment that they are not going to share the wealth with the third world workers that replace the US workers. What I was saying is how much is enough? CEO pay in the US is off the charts and they are greedy for more. They are even willing to cook the books (see Enron and Tyco) and steal the company blind leaving the workers to pay the piper. Free markets = freedom,   you are joking right? In the Middle East they think that beating your wife for showing her face in publc and killing your daugher for having sex out of marriage = freedom. Haha what are you Islamic Jihad? Crackheads think that breaking into your house stealing your TV and selling it for crack = freedom. Just because it works for you or those getting filthy rich at America's expense doesn't automatically make it right. I don't know why that is so hard to understand. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
TwistedTiger, 1st of all I never said that outsourcing was good for America, I said that it is the normal process, jobs are outsourced and insourced all the time. You say that you can't compare jobs lost to technology such as switch board operators, there are plenty of human jobs lost to technology.. Please explain why this is??? How many more jobs would be lost in this country if Nissian left or anyone else that you would prefer to leave? As far as the rest of your response I guess there is no one else to blame but us, Americans for buying foreign goods and shopping at Walmart. :dis: In my post I didn't say it was an even trade off, go reread my post. I said its no different than the trade deficit, its all slanted against us so I guess we can blame the people we elect for that. :dis: Once again blame the American people for voting these people in office and letting the trade deficits go all against us. Americans shouldn't do these things nor put up with politians like this! I love working for myself and have never made this much money before  Sourdoughman :usaflagwa
Technology is a good thing and helps most everyone in many different ways. Losing your job to a ten year old child slave in India only helps the rich heads of corporations and no one else. With this part I couldn't possibly agree more. :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa
right here: unfortunately for you, you do not determine what is fair. what is paid is what the market will bear. in america, some people make more than others, mr communist. you dont get free money because you want it. i know it sucks for you that other people make more than you. too bad. deal with it.
What a phuking idiot!!!! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: Hey dumbass I gave you the quote and explained what I meant you misunderstood again. I'm also not angry that some people make more money than me, YOU have no idea how much I make and I never never asked for something free mr dik head. What must really suck is being you!!!! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
right, i am stupid. if i am in favor of free trade i must be an idiot. i should be mad at the corporate fat cats and money grubbers. those big bad guys want to hire cheap labor overseas. what jerks, maximizing profits for their companies, all the while here you are, wanting them not to. wow, im an idiot.
Hey, You guys take it easy and have a cool one, we don't have to agree on every issue in the country. Whats important is that we are Tigerfans and Americans, I'm betting we have more in common than not.
You obviously lead a very sheltered life and have no concept of what is going on. These CEO's are not maximizing profits for their companies they are maximizing profits for themselves. They lay off workers while at the same time giving themselves huge bonuses funded by the layoffs. They are also not investing the larger profits back into the companies making them stronger but are instead stuffing their pockets. The name of the game is rape rob and pillage then move on. If you think that strengthens the American economy or makes American companies stronger you are indeed an idiot! :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa
