This sounds like what a lot of people were saying in 2003. "Oh, we're not ready" or "Oh, we're gonna get beat." You know, it is really hard to win a :crystal: if you are scared to play for it. Nobody has ever done anything worthwhile without taking a chance first. Frankly, I would rather have a loss in the NC game to USC in the Rose Bowl than a win over a 2nd-tier WV team in the Sugar. Plus, we don't get one of these crystal: ) if we win the Sugar Bowl. Right now, we finish #2 if we win out (AK, SEC Champ, Sugar Champ). The critics will still rip us because we beat WV in the BCS game and will rip our loss to UT. They will say Penn St or someone else deserves to be #2. That being the case, I would rather us play for the NC. If we lose and get ripped, what's the difference between that and the Sugar Bowl scenario besides having one more loss? But if we win the Rose Bowl.....

You my friend are "assuming" we would get ripped. Lesser teams have taken Usuck to the brink. With our defense I don't believe Usuck would come back from a 21 point deficet (and I don't want to hear "what about Tennessee" that was then this is now). I would chance getting ripped a new a**hole to have a chance to win a MNC every time!:crystal:

I don't know how we'd compete with USC. I can't even hazard a guess. But whatever the situation, I'd rather lose the NC game than win a BCS bowl.

Has anyone thought about the fact that the media is pretty much just assuming that we beat Georgia? For once they give us some props. Kinda cool.
