Agree that both teams' defenses are very tough and fast. I wonder if this years LSU defense is as good as if not better than 2003's? I had wondered how the team manage to keep the strong Miami defense off balance in the last Peach Bowl? Was it better play calling? or the better offensive line performance? or was it Flynn or Addai? As was mentioned in other threads, I agree that Charles Scott or Keiland should have been thrown it for a try when the other RB's weren't as effective. Or maybe that is just due to the offensive line not able to open up big holes. ________ Iolite Health Reviews
I'm not throwing this season to the side by saying this but our schedule next year is very favorable for running the tables all the way to the SECCG. Very favorable.
I agree that the odd years are more favorable for us but it would have been a sweet trip blowing through this schedule.
Another thought: would the lost this year to Auburn be similar to the lost to Florida in the 2003 season? the needed ingredient to really pull the team together???   ________ DEPAKOTE LAWSUIT
On the contrary, after the last game, I am now not as concerned about these good teams because I believe in our defense in being able to stop these teams, and our offense can only get better, now that they know , and hopefully, put more focus on their running game. ________ KISSING ADVICE ADVICE
Don't forget how much in love the pollsters are with Urban Meyer. If Fla keeps winning, by the time we get there, a win would vault us into the Top 3. I figure they'll have canonized Urban by then since the Irish have been exposed.
I'm afraid we'll have trouble running against many SEC defenses unless something is changed or improved upon. Auburn's defense is very good, but our running backs didn't come close to maximizing the potential for ground yardage. We have such a good team this year that losing because we can't run the ball would be a damn shame.
I moved on first thing Sunday morning, and the fact that there's so, so much still at stake is the reason why. You have an undefeated Fla on tap in less than 3 weeks. This team can still finish 11-1, go to a BCS bowl game (looks like either Ohio St, USC or even Michigan will be in the thick of the national title game, so how's LSU to the Rose Bowl sound?), and lock in a top 2 national ranking to start next season. You know, the season where LSU gets all it's marquee games at home, including an excellent non-conf game versus Va Tech. There's much to lose if LSU doesn't focus on the next 8 games, namely a chance to win it all in 2007. BTW, the national title game is in new orleans next year.
