Tiger Bait is just our thing, like War Eagle for Auburn. With a smile, okay. With a finger, not okay! I'll do my part to stop excessive craziness. At the Georgia game, some poor girl sitting close to me got walloped with a cup, which wouldn't have been so bad, had the cup not still been full of drink and ice! Now why would anyone blow $5.00 like that and threaten someone's safety that way? STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! The poor little thing had a bleeding welt on the back of her head and we had to escort her to a first aid station. Look, I don't care if you throw cups, just drink your drink or empty the things before you toss them, PLEASE! I have decided that if I'm sitting next to someone, and they try to toss a full cup when we score, I will put my arm up and try to stop them. If I get into a fight, so be it. There, I'm doing my part.
Yeah, I've never understood the cup throwing but ESPECIALLY when it's full. They should teach that in LSU 1001. "If you throw a cup full of alcohol, you lose your chance to drink it when the cup leaves your hands." I hear you FightinTIGER. I agree with everything you've said and the TigerBait thing can be a grey area sometimes. I usually stay out of it unless the shade of grey is pretty dark. Personally, I like hearing when fans come and enjoy themselves at the game and I think we're very good hosts for the most part. When a game has this much buildup against such a heated rival, we need to be on the watchout for fans from the trailer parks with missing teeth that aren't really LSU fans but are just looking to "drink a little beer and kick a little a$$" because you know they'll run out of beer eventually. P.S. I realize not everyone from trailer parks are bad and that there are actually a large number of Auburn students who live in trailer parks. There are also fine, upstanding people with missing teeth. It's that combo of missing teeth and trailer park dwelling that can be dangerous.
Look Tiger Stadium is not Alex Box. Football in the south is bigger than life and yes we do take it to the next level down here. If you want to go to a tea party then you might not want to step into Tiger Stadium. If someone sits next to me about to puke its guts up then it is time to get them escorted out of the stadium. If someone is yelling profanity that offends me then I will ask them if they could watch the language. If they don't comply then get a marshal to do something. Usually sourrounding fans usually harass the bad apples until they leave. Look I have had my fair share of games where I was drunk and yelling bad language and I have to say I am glad no one has gotten me thrown out. It all comes with age. I have become friends with the people who sit next to me and they understand that I will be little more rowdy when we play the big time SEC games. I have been to many SEC stadiums and have to say none of them compare to Tiger Stadium. I find that they are just boring. If you don't like yelling Tiger Bait then don't do it. I love to hear when the opposing fans come walking by and people yelling Tiger Bait. I have had many opposing team's fans tailgate with and next to us in the past and no one got offended. I actually have had fans who got offended by not being yelled Tiger Bait at them. It is all part of soaking in the LSU tradition. Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is about tailgating, Tiger Bait, and the smell of Burbon. All I got to say is I will be yelling "TIGER BAIT" and cheering on the true Tigers all day Saturday until I lose my voice. AUBURN SUCKS!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!
TALKING TO OTHER FANS I talked to a number of UGA fans before and after the game and UGA fans said they heard so many bad things about LSU and they actually were worried but they all said this is one of the best places to come and see a football game. Now with that said my response to them was that is the Auburn fans and their rumors about us. Then I told them that Auburn fans should probably fear for their lives now that I think about it. Tubby is a Prick and so are their fans
I was just reading a thread on WEN where folks are literally scared for their safety, and for their children's, and are opting to stay home. I know that this is Auburn's board, and most of the incidents were either rumors or embelished. But fact of the matter is that this is what others are saying about us and they believe it. Fact folks: Baton Rouge is not New Orleans. We are not exactly a tourist mecca. We NEED these folks to come down, stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, go home with an "L", but tell everyone they had a blast and bring more people and money next time. Oh, I almost forgot. Tiger Bair! Tiger Bait! Tiger Bair! Tiger Bait!
