A friend told me that Costco is going to have the S5 for $100. If thats true I'll probably do that.

The apple guys make more money in a nano-second, than I do in a year, but that damn iphone, at least with two teenage and now two young twenty daughtes, is a certified POS.

One button, the same freaking one, has failed on 4 phones, two for each daughter during last three or four years. A second button has failed on three of four.

I have a S4 galaxy, got it due to size. I like the android/google phone world, but the phone, as in "call me on the phone," is like most, really worthless. Terrible reception and voice quality. It is, however, a texting mutha. I am pleased with it, but will go bigger next time.

Again, Apple is doing something right, but we have had the same problem too many times with the IPHONE. GOOD LUCK. It is easy to get all wrapped up in trying to get the right one. Just remember, whatever you get will be better than any phone in the world, 5, maybe even 3 years ago.

That's a good deal if you don't mind changing your plan and/or being tied down w/ a contract. I'm pretty partial to my plan though and Sprint is trying like hell to get people off of the Unlimited Everything Plans.

Apple does a fantastic job of marketing. Their equipment is rarely the "best" any more and if it is, it's only for a month or two.

That makes sense. I get rebates for 4 lines ($100 a month) which offsets the cost of having to pay full price for upgrades at any given time. I had to get rid of my unlimited package because I wanted hotspot feature and our family never used anywhere close to 10GB of data in any given month. I currently have 10GB for family and unlimited text and calls. I pay around $200 a month now with insurance. Was paying around $280.

You could have rooted it for free and had hot spot ability.

The G2 is $99 (for Sprint).

Plus the battery life is killer, which is important for him.

This. Sooner babe has an iPhone and just about any time she wants to take a picture or video something this is what I hear "oh crap, I have to delete some stuff because I don't have any room".

Have a 32gb SD mini in my S3, couple thousand songs, pictures, videos, all sorts of other crap and I never have that issue.

the s5 is really nice. Ive had it since the day it was released and really wanted it for the water resistant capabilities as im hell on phones. I tried using an iphone the other day and its so small and outdated I couldnt fathom going back. But I do love my ipad.

Only problem with S5 is no way to root it yet because ATT has locked bootstrap so you are stuck with some apps that subsidize the phone for now (if you only paid $199). Get tmobile if possible since they leave their phones alone but their coverage blows.

However there is rumor there is a samsung prime (korean) version of the s5 to be released here around june with a metal back cover, faster processor and more ram. But to be fair, I have no issues with the phone and the size is about perfect. Smaller than a note and much clearer and larger than an iphone.

the ultra power saving mode is cool because you can still use all the basic shit on your phone and the battery will last like 12 days. Cool when on trips or vacation away from connectivity for awhile or just when not using it.

Heart monitor and fingerprint scanner are just gimmicks that Im sure no one will use after a week.

the htc one looks nice but the controls are strange and the camera sucks. but the front speakers should be adopted by all platforms.

the lg g3 is coming out in may and worth a look.

Also ive had a 64GB micro card in my s3 and now my s5. Cant imagine being locked into a phone with no removable battery or upgradable memory but itunes alone was the reason i dumped my iphone years ago.
