It's official. Orgeron gone at the end of the season

Nobody knew the Saban we hired would become the Saban we now know. But I’d rather Franklin if it had to be a black coach. Maybe Franklin over any of the mentioned coaches, period.

If Mel Tucker IS the best coach great hire him but don't hire him just to show we at LSU are not prejudice. That's what I mean and you know that's what I meant.

I don't care a rats ass if our next coach is black, yellow, brown or white just as long as he is the best available. What I don't want is we will hire a coach and it has to be a minority.

 

Didn't know squat about Tucker, looked him up. He's got a hell of a resume, very impressive. But he seems to fail up versus wild successes. Didn't win a Colorado State and didn't win last year with Sparty. Winning this year but has only had one (my opinion) quality win - Nebraska.
Wouldn't be too upset if he got hired. No doubt he could win here, but can he win enough? I would rather have a proven winner at a high level.

Impressive in that he’s a journeyman? At least he’s been a coordinator (with mixed success). I hope we don’t fuck this hire up. That’s the scary part about making a move, you got to trust the guy making the hire. Hopefully Woodward can keep the opportunists at bay and make a good hire. He needs to play hardball; if a token coach is being pushed offer to quit and let those in charge take responsibility for it. That would cause the fan base to say fuck you guvna.
