I don't see how they are going to pull this off. Mike Slive has not been to Baton Rouge since Katrina has he? The Traffic will be so tremendous that it makes the evacuation from Houston look like a cake walk. You can guarantee that LSU will not cancel classes, meaning all the parking lots will be full of students and faculty right up until game time. Could the game possibly be at a worst time? How about 7:30 or 8:00 so that at least I will be able to get to the game after work before kickoff. What the hell does it matter how late because at some point what does one hour mean. At the most 60K show up now on a Monday night. Poor Les Miles will be gone before he gets to experience a true home game in Tiger Stadium. Why couldn't Sunday night be accomplished, because it interferes with Sunday night football on ESPN. It still could have been shown on ESPN2, ESPN classic, ESPNNEWS, Cox Sports or PAY PER VIEW for the TV fans. Aren't home games for the fans in attendence not the TV audience. I am utterly disappointed. How will this affect the team the whole season. They will have to play 2 games in six days with no off weeks for 10 straight.
NO way tiger stadium is full... Keep in mind that there is a huge fan base that travels from North Louisiana. I have at least 20 friends with tickets (probably a total of 50 tickets) and not one of them is going... Yes, we work in North Louisiana on Tuesday... Yes, i would love to take the day off, but on such short notice the boss would laugh at me.
Who schedules much less attends a 7:30 class on non-gamedays. There would have been zero chance I would have gone to class on Monday. I would have made it to campus but no classes would have been in attended.
The seismometer is just the sensing unit; the seismograph has the little recording paper too. I guess he could watch either one.
You should get some tickets from your friends and take your boss to the game. Bribery just might work :hihi:
I've got my annual leave slip filled out already. Just in case O'Keefe doesn't close LSU on Monday. But he really has to. The parking conflicts are immense. No way game traffic could happen with school in session. Weekday traffic is going to be bad enough hassle. I don't care. I'll leave early. The friggin' game is on!
I hope we get a decent crew for the game and sure hope it isn't that ESPN2 crew with the woman. Not that I'm sexist, mind you - she's just a terrible announcer.
