Those "other areas" are insignificant when compared to football, baseball and basketball. No AD ever got fired for hiring a bad volleyball coach.

LOL so recruiting to ole piss and the talent you get to play there(without cheating) is level with USC and LSU, and shouldn't be weighed. You wouldn't make a good AD. He was 13-4 as a Head Coach after disaster with a doormat school 10 years or so ago. But as an AD you of course ignore all of it, and only look at the Ole Miss job, and say no way. Which of course is exactly what you are doing no matter how you justify what you are about to say. Nothing he could have done would have overcome his Ole Miss failure for you as you have said.
wait so you think LSU can just close its eyes and hire anyone and recruit top level talent? Were you around during the 80's? I wouldn't have fired a national championship winning coach to hire Ed Orgeron that's for damn sure. Time will tell.
Oh so you keep Les finishing no better than 3rd in the last 4 years of his tenure after a 2-2 start and ride him out as he continues not recruiting QBs, and not trying to beat Alabama. That makes sense, he is a great guy so we can't fire him. He won a national title in 2007, he has unlimited job security now, we can never do any better, plus he is a great guy and we finish 3rd.
