Like you would know realism. You're the only person I know of that thinks Crowton is NOT the problem with the offense. That's the LEAST realistic thing out there.

And actually, letting 9-3 regular seasons in the SEC, and finishing second in the West behind the eventual national champs bother you...that's foolish.

Subjective view: 8-8 in the past 2 years is a concern...

Objective view: Overall 8-8, though 3-5 to 5-3 improvement in the same 2 year span.

And its not that the window is closing, its that the people who refuse to understand the "Ups and Downs" of a program.

You CAN make the argument that the past 2 years are obviously worse than his 1st 3. Though if anyone is going to call coach Miles out, you have to look at ALL the facts.

I haven't seen a so called "pumper" deny the fact that 2008 and 2009 were down years. Though CLEAR changes were made from 2008 to 2009 that improved areas of the team. Still, the so called "pumpers" acknowledge the faults of the team and COACHING staff..

No one ignores the OBVIOUS FACTS about what this LSU team lacks and HAS lacked.

In all negative categories from last year:

    QB
    Running game
    O'line
    D,line

3 of the 4 that got bitched about the most have shown CLEAR improvement. I dont care if its game 1, 2, 5 or 6. The facts are their about the improvement in these areas.

We aren't the ones saying, "Well LSU only played a game vs. second string scrubs and a high school team."

There's that window closing again. Leaving out the whole record which was 9-4 but go ahead, kick out that loss- just don't forget it's not 9 wins "in the SEC" when 3 were UL, La. Tech and Tulane. See how that works?

I didn't say it was 9 wins in the SEC. And you still didn't answer my question.

"See how that works?" What part of LSU 2009 being the #17 ranked team in the country don't you understand?

    My point is simple

We do not have it bad in Baton Rouge with our Tigers or Coach. Many as a fan base are in complete "let's get a new coach before all this gets to bad." Why wait until CLM takes us down the 6-6 road fire him now because any real football fan can see the road he is taking us down.

We had one some what bad year in 08 and that one year made CLM a bad coach. This of course is the same bunch that in his 3rd year away from the short guy give the short guy more credit for 07 and the BCS-NC than they give CLM. CLM is just lucky and that will never happen again.

09 things started getting better and I am thinking this team will be closer to 07 than 08. We go 11-1 this year and win the West it's all over with. He will have lucked us back to Atlanta again. The haters will just be that and CLM can stay in BR until his 7 year old gets out of High school. The best class since 01 is showing up in BR next year and we are already a young team. What ever this team does this year will be repeated plus next year.

Coach Miles is the perfect football coach for the Baton Rouge bunch. He is going to do what he does with his style and treat the Baton Rouge fan base with respect. At the end of the day he is going to do what he does and he is not really going to tell the media onething he doesn't want them to know. They hate him and it shows but I don't care about the media , I care about my Tigers.

Just a quick question. Were you advocating for the firing of Nick Saban between the 2000 and 2001 seasons when Saban lost to these teams?

    2000:
    Auburn (L) 34-17
    UAB (L) 13-10
    Florida (L) 41-9
    Arkansas (L) 14-3

    2001:
    Tennessee (L) 26-18
    Florida (L) 44-15
    Ole Miss (L) 35-24

Take away the UAB loss (one of the most embarrasing losses LSU has had in the last 20 years) and you have 6 SEC losses over 2 seasons...Almost as bad as Miles' much poo poo'd record over the last 2 seasons.

You can only find one 2 year period of poor SEC results under Miles, whereas Saban had multiple 2 year periods where LSU was a 2nd rate SEC power. Looking at the next year, Saban also had 3 SEC losses:

    2002:
    Virginia Tech (L) 26-8
    Auburn (L) 31-7
    Alabama (L) 31-0
    Arkansas (L) 21-20

At least Saban was pretty consistent for most of his coaching career at LSU in that LSU was a 2nd tier power with the exception of his BCS Trophy year.

We'll never know how Saban would have held together the LSU team in the immediate aftermath of Katrina or if he would have had only a 2 loss season that year. By then, lady of the night, Saban, had slithered away to Miami after assuring the Tiger Nation that he was not interested in a job in the pros.

Who knows, though...maybe Saban ditched LSU because he felt like he never could fully satisfy the fan base here with their constant griping about how we didn't win good enough in games, etc.
