Ramah, your behavior here continues to be despicable to me. I am embarrassed that you are a fellow Tiger fan. It's fans like you that give us a bad name.

Good post, Johhnyreb. I agree with what you said. Ole Miss gained a lot of respect from me. And I wasn't one predicting an LSU blowout before the . I anticipated a narrow LSU victory, fueled by the Tiger defense, just like we got. I've been to a lot of SEC and, especially, a lot of LSU-Ole Miss . I knew what to expect with all that was on the line in the yesterday. Both teams earned a measure of respect.

The game would've been that close if we would've have given
    spotted you 7 pts.

Thats the fact, WE gave you 7 points and your team still couldn't
    beat us.

It wouldn't even have been close than
Our offense had an off game for the most part and we still won.

Your powerful offense could only score 7 on our D for the whole
    game.

I think you better worry about State, Everyone expects them to
lose, but as long as I've watched football.

If you overlook a team with there back against the wall you might
    get bit.

It is a Rivalry game for you after all

Speaking of respect, I would have to say that Ole Miss' #15 ranking heading into yesterday's game, dispite a perfect 6-0 conference record, indicates, at least to me, that you guys didn't get the respect ya'll deserved either.

Really, the only team in the SEC that has gotten respect throughout the year has been UGA. It's only recently, that LSU has been getting respect both in the polls and in media coverage--and that's largely in part to being 10-1. If LSU is 8-3 or something along those lines, all of the stuff that's been written about our defense, etc., wouldn't exist.

Anybody that holds opponents to eight points a game would get repect even if their record was worse. The defense you have this year rivals any in recent memory. A tribute to Saban.

Face it the big ten always gets the repect until they start beating each other. The bowls will settle it this year. But it will start out the same next year. Eastern and northen poll voters give their teams to much credit.

NIU, Bowling Green this whole MAC lovefest is blowing up on them.

I would agree with the lack of respect except for one thing. After the Florida loss we didn't drop fror the top 10. In the past a loss to an unranked team (at the time) would have resulted us being 15th or worse. So somebody, somewhere saw us in a good light. Ole Miss came to play and I have a hell of a lot more respect for them now. To me they are our biggest rival no matter what records reflect. It was great to see the pregame hype CBS put on the game. I would like it to be in that upper echlon of rival games like Army/Navy, Ohio St/Mich. This game yesterday helped to put it in the right direction.

If it stays competitive, if Ole Miss stays in the rankings, if CBS picks the game over AU/Bama. It will regain some national prominence. Doubtful though. Nice for the exposure this year, did both schools a lot of good as far a recognotion goes. Who new about the "grove experiance" before saturday.

Eli didn't trip, Johnnyreb...Your left guard-as he was all afternoon-got totally blown backwards at the snap by our All-American defensive lineman named Chad Lavalais.

Watch the replay. SportsCenter even did a spotshadow replay in depth on the late edition last night. Chad Lavalais blew that play up. It certainly wasn't because you guys just blew it.

We totally stymied your offense. Your lone touchdown drive was a result of...

A penalty on a BS holding call on Marcus Spears on third down and 10 that extended your drive.

Two totally ridiculous dead ducks that Manning threw up as a prayer that somehow your receivers came down with. Congrats.

One braindead linebacker that hasn't covered the running back out of the backfield on the side of the field that we call the safety blitz from...

Your touchdown that you got early was a result of nerves from our quarterback, who played the poorest game of his career.

In other words, you lucked out to get 7 out of your offense. You lucked out to get 7 out of your defense. This game-and this win-was NOWHERE near as close as the final score indicated.

Those two long passes were almost half of Eli's passing totals, and they were total "hopes and dreams" excuses for plays.

Your mighty, mighty rushing offense had NEGATIVE yardarge rushing till the final drive in which we starting mentally farting. You finished with an amazing total of 27...

Eli throws for 200 even, at least half of which comes your lone positive drive...

Respect, eh? Well, respect is that we let you stay in the game, and we almost let you beat us...

We won ugly, but it's not because you guys did anything superior. Oh, I take that back. You took Skyler Green out of our return game for the most part. Your punting unit is excellent.

How's that for respect? Is there anything there that you can refute?

I have to say, I was at the game yesterday. For the most part the Ole Miss fans didn't mess with us even though we were seated near the student section(more on this later). Yes, our offense didn't play well, but that is also because the Ole Miss D played above and beyond what we thought they were capable of. Saban said it best when he said that one game can through stats out the window ie. the TT game. They were giving up an average of 300 yards in the air a game. Well when they game up 600+ in that one game they must have allowed less that 250 in most of the others. So the pass defense isn't as bad as we thought and for the most part our run game was ineffective. Tigereducated made a comment about their drive and how we had some brain farts. Well if you noticed our 53 yard touchdown was a brainfart on the play of one of their safeties. So Ole Miss gained much respect from me on the Defensive side of the ball. I got what I expected from their offense. I expected a close game and for the Tigers to come out on top because of great defensive play. Thats what I got.

Now about the seating, can any ole miss fan tell me why their band sits up in a far corner so far away from their student section?
