It's your time to shine Lee. Not too crazy about the circumstances surrounding it. But, show us the true reason you stuck it out through thick and thin. Lead us to VICTORY!!! Geaux Tigers!!!! I'm ready for some football!!!
Maybe I'm foolishly optomistic but I don't think JL will have any more problems than JJ. Would have been nice to have a mobile QB though. I'm sure Oregon is pleased...
You're being realistic actually. But yes the mobile aspect of JJ will be missed. Just not his 0.33 TD passes per game.
There is no doubt that the excitement of Lee's return to being Our Starting QB cant over shadow what is happening to and with JJ, but IMHO, it is much better than just having the backup replace him. Lee is doing more than just trying to fill in for JJ, he is playing for his shot at redemption, his shot at showing us he improved, the reason he stuck it out here for 4 years, a shot at a possible NFL career if he can show the world he is a great QB, this would be a TRUE Cinderella story and think that someone mentioned if he has a Heisman like year they could make a film about it In this mist of what’s going on in BR and Tiger nation right now, the clouds could be opening and a ray of light coming through if this story of Lee's return can become remarkable! Positiger – ALERT!
Ou had to worry about jj's scrambling ability before this situation. Now with jj out of the picture they will have to contend with jl's vertical passing ability. They won't be able to stack the box now. The threat of jl throwing the ball will cause ou to protect the deep routes. This may open our running game up. Good luck lee. It's your time now.
In an ideal world, Lee leads the LSU Tigers to a national championship. As someone posted before, they would have to make a movie about his journey if that were to happen.
To be effective Lee will have to get protection from the OL. If he gets pressured his accuracy suffers.
I think he absolutely can LEAD them there, although I don't think they'll neccessarily be there BECAUSE of him. I think he'll have a solid season...something like 200+ yds and 2 tds a game...but in the end, he'll just be another spoke in the wheel. If any ONE player proves to be a true difference-maker this season, my money is on Ware. But that's a topic for another thread.
2007 National Championship Team Matt Flynn: 202-359 for 2407 yds 21 td's & 11 ints. - 125 Rating Hester: 1103 yards 12 td's As a team we rushed for 3,000 and passed for 3,000 - in 2007 Last year we passed for 2,000 and rushed for 2,400 2011 - With this defense, and our other offensive weapons (Ware, Randle, Blue, Shep, Wright, Ford, Hilliard, Boone, Beckham, D-Pete) we CAN get it done
