1. I concur. Les had 2 hurricanes blown up his ass last year, give the man a break. He is just now getting used to the SEC. I really get tired of people on this board writing to say our head coach is stupid. Lets forget about the 2 away losses and focus on upcoming games. Good night, get with a program or get to another board!
  2. I decided even before the fumble call that the officiating in this game was poor enough to make a significant impact on the outcome of the game. The young guy in the booth that was providing color (was it Blackledge?) said that one of the keys for Tennessee to win the game was to beat us with big plays and that was the only way they could put points up on us.

Still we held them to about 250 yards total while we lit them up for 478 I think. This was a huge game for Russell, Miles and out program in general. Congrats Tigers!
  3. since we all expect lsu to consistently be a top 10 team, lets just focus on the problems.

when will jr stop throwing like a pansy. wuerffel had to, jr doesnt.

our secondary choked twice with those passes to meachem.

speaking of long pass plays-why does lsu never have those? i guess it was a sign of desperation by ut, but i still wonder why---since we have great wrs and a qb with a cannon.

the turnovers and penalties are a sign of a poorly coached team. i hope they get their act together or at least one more game will be dropped.

why were there three wrs on top of each other on the final td?

    the good--
took a lot of guts to come back from all the screwups

jimbo really mixed up the playcalling

d was awesome except for the two meachem catches
  4. Tell you what? Go kill yourself and let us enjoy the win.
  5. The coaches don't play the game. You can blame them for poor play calling, lack of fundamentals in blocking schemes, botched clock management, not having the correct players on the field...

but penalties and turnovers are players responsibilities.
  6. Today someone said that Jimbo doesnt call the plays. If that is true thank Miles for the plays and for getting in the refs faces for once.
  7. penalties can be traced to coaching, sorry bro. :thumb:
  8. I think I had like 3 of 'em....all in the last 3 minutes of the game!
  9. Why is it you just blame one of them. I think if you were to look at it the blame is on both .

But if your gonna blame both then also give them both credit when things are done right.

That blown review on the punt was a huge turning point in the game. The officials have an effect on these games and LSU has a right to expect the officials to call games fair.

Are you telling me with one of the best defensive lines in the country they couldnt find one holding penalty to call on Tenn. Also that intentional inducing LSU players to flynch is not a legal play.

The rule states you can not intentionaly try to taunt the oline into movement.

The second they started that crap i woulda gone on a quick count and caught their ass with a quick hitting run right up the middle and we would have had some big gaines.

I do agree on the aspect of players play the game. There is only so much the coach can do other than pulling players who make stupid mistakes. Lets see then we have to pull every receiver that drops a pass and every running back that fumbles and every qb that overthrows and every lineman that misses a block or gets a penalty or every defensive back that has a completed pass thrown on them and every linebacker that misses a tackle.

If the coaches can put a finger on why these type of mistakes are happenning they will fix it.

The thing that bothers me is this team is capable of beating Tenn. on the scoreboard just as bad as they did Fresno or ULL but we are not clicking on all cylinders in any of these big games. It has more to do with our little mistakes at the wrong time than what the other teams are doing to us.

Auburn game was taken from us by the refs but Florida we just self destructed.

Every year teams have different strengths and weaknesses.

I could sit here and talk about the things this team does well too and what has put them at a 7-2 record. How many years would that have been good enough at LSU . Nick Saban spoiled our fans and raised our expectations . Just winning isnt good enough at LSU any more.

One of the things i like the best about our tigers is win or lose they give it all they have and dont make excuses but keep giving it their all . A few calls in the Auburn game go our way and a few less turnovers at Fla. and we are right their with the OH ST and Mich people fighting for the NC game.

Either way i am proud of this team and looking ahead to a great finish to the season and whatever happens i will be there supporting them .
  10. When does JR throw like a pansy? The play at the beginning of the 2nd half was bad, but I don't think he has fallen to pansy status. Did you forget about that rope he threw to Buster for the first touchdown?

And for the long passes, we may not have had any yesterday but this year we have had passes of 58 yds (TD), 48 yds (TD), 55yds, 41 yds (TD), 58 yds (TD), and way too many over 30 to name. In total, we have scored 8 TDs this year on passes over 20 yards. I'm pretty happy with that. :thumb:
